Another couple of nice clips: http://youtu.be/y4xMbA5MYRcBrescia - Torres again, this time from another point of view (M. Jackson background music) and http://youtu.be/W5umpoHelXE a longer clip about Fiamma Monza - Inter match, so you can have a clue of the average playing level of the 2° Division too (serie A2)
Saturday's results: Como 2000 - Firenze 0-0 Tavagnacco - Brescia 1-1 Milan - Verona 0-3 Mozzanica - Chiasiellis 2-0 Riviera di Romagna - Lazio 1-0 Torino - Venezia 2-1 Torres - Roma 3-1 And today replay match: Lazio - Torres 0-3 Now all the teams played 7 matches, so the table is: Torres 19 pts, Verona 18, Tavagnacco and Torino 15, Brescia 14. Next Saturday is the last matchday of 2011, 1 month of break and the championship will resume at the beginning of January Highlights of the matches of Milano: http://youtu.be/7ng1IulPmug Tavagnacco: http://youtu.be/dE7vG7LeOR0, and Como: http://youtu.be/Q1LFCn2DZD4
Saturday results: Verona - Torino 3-0 Brescia - Mozzanica 3-1 Chiasiellis - Como 1-1 Firenze - Torres 1-6 Lazio - Tavagnacco 0-1 Roma - Milan 2-2 Venezia - Riviera di Romagna 0-1 In the table, now Torres and Verona, with 22 and 21 pts, spaced out a bit Tavagnacco (18pts), Brescia (17pts) and Torino (15 pts), but some big matches have still to come (7th of January is scheduled Torres-Verona), so nothing is yet settled...about the relegation battle, except may be for Milan, that up to now got only 3 pts, all other teams are very close each other, and i think they will be till the end of season Highlights of the matches of Verona: http://youtu.be/lMiGCSm1w5U and Bresciahttp://youtu.be/euawHgX7gPQ Serie A will resume in a month, next Sunday will be last matchday for the Serie A2 too, NT is in Brasil for the tournament, excited to see how can perform against a "big one" (Brasil) and a former "big one" (Denmark)
Luxury friendly for Torino on January 3th: in Grenoble match against Olympique Lyon, with direct TV on Direct8 (I don't know about streaming)...
The match is today at 20.45 local time, here the link for the streaming: http://www.direct8.fr/direct/ (for the lucky ones, because it's geo-blocked)
torino did their best but the difference in quality was too big. schelin 5' abily 7' thomis 11' dickenmann 30' ma petite eugénie à moi 55', 59', 71', 88' nécib 89' ... makes a suitcasefull to take back over the alps, but the experience can do torino nothing but good. nécib also hit in a FK that didn't count because it shouldn't have been taken direct; le sommer actually scored 5 but one was disallowed for a dubious offside call; rosana finally showed on TV why she was considered a big signing, absolutely top drawer.
Poor Torino...I just saw the match (here the link http://youtu.be/yLn_9Loppdo...I thought that they could lose with 4/5 goals, but 9-0, come on ! Anyway, the score is fully deserved, IMO, beyond the technical skills, the big gap was on the athletic side, the OL girls were twice faster You are right, the experience can do them nothing but good, I think that the only girl who had some international exp. was Bonansea (the pretty young forward with dark short hair), who is in U20NT, so good for them ! On a funny sidenote, the strinking difference between the 2 teams could be noted already form the jersey sponsor: GDF Suez for Lyon, a small fresh pasta producer for Torino
Saturday Serie A resumed after Christmas break, and such a resume ! Torres after 2 and half years lost invincibility, and lost the league leadership too... Como - Milan 2-0 Tavagnacco - Firenze 3-0 Mozzanica - Roma 2-1 Riviera di Romagna - Chiasiellis 0-3 Torino - Brescia 0-3 Torres - Verona 0-1 Venezia - Lazio 0-3 In the table Verona got the leadership with 24 pts, Torres has 22 pts, Tavagnacco 21 and Brescia 20. Here highlights of the 2 most important matches: http://youtu.be/ogvNHKVPJUc http://youtu.be/xbMGgBF_wGs Great match in Sardegna: Torres had more scoring chanches, hitted twice the crossbar, Ohrstrom made great saves, but during the extratime Verona scored Maria Karlsson played the whole match, quite successfully I think
An other saturday of matches gone by, and the table again changed, this year's SerieA is anything but boring ! Surprisingly Verona couldn't be able to beat the much weaker Venezia, letting Torres to join them again at the top...furthermore the "big" Tavagnacco was defeated from Chiasiellis in the quasi-derby (the 2 small towns are 20 km apart) and slipped in the 4th place... The results: Lazio-Torino 0-1 Verona-Venezia 1-1 Brescia-Riviera di Romagna 6-0 Chiasiellis-Tavagnacco 2-0 Firenze-Mozzanica 1-1 Milan-Torres 0-2 Roma-Como 1-2 In the table: Verona and Torres 25, Brescia 23, Tavagnacco 21 pts. Highlights of the matches of Verona: http://youtu.be/Ge_vl_N5X6M and Brescia: http://youtu.be/EmlTgmPqJRI I hope to post soon the derby highlights too...
Here, as promised, a 15' resumè of the match Chiasiellis-Tavagnacco: http://youtu.be/DX_Qxn5AKuE Too bad for the quality of the images...
Last Saturday matches saw no surprises, thus the upper part of the table didn't change, and everybody now is waititng for next Saturday, when the 4 big teams will clash one each other The results: Como - Torres 0-3 Tavagnacco - Roma 6-1 Mozzanica - Milan 0-0 Riviera di Romagna - Firenze 1-1 Torino - Chiasiellis 0-3 Venezia - Brescia 1-5 Lazio - Verona 1-2 In the table, Verona and Torres are leading with 28 pts, Brescia 26 pts, and Tavagnacco 24 pts. Highlights of the matches of Brescia: http://youtu.be/He1DEs_PFrU Verona: http://youtu.be/fy6v7JAKN7M and Mozzanica: http://www.sportinlombardia.com/index.php/2012/01/21/mozzanica-solo-un-pari-con-il-milan/
Last saturday SerieA played (among the others) a couple of important matches that changed a bit the upper table, allowing Brescia to join Torres as the leaders, although all the 4 top teams keep intact their chanches for the championship. Brescia - Verona 2-0 Chiasiellis - Lazio 3-1 Como - Mozzanica 0-1 Firenze - Venezia 0-1 Milan - Riviera di Romagna 0-1 Roma - Torino 0-2 Torres - Tavagnacco 0-0 Now Torres and Brescia are leading with 29pts, Verona has 28 pts, Tavagnacco 25 pts. Up to now I have only highlights of Brescia - Verona: http://youtu.be/iHQGWxpSx2k
As everywhere in Europe, the bad weather ruined last two saturdays, half of the matches couldn't be played, and now the table is a work in progress. Anyway, here are the results of the played matches: Sat 4th of February: Tavagnacco - Milan 2-0 Verona - Como 2-1 (highlights: http://youtu.be/r7JQD1AHnhw ) Venezia - Chiasiellis 3-3 Sat 11th of February: Torino - Milan 2-0 Brescia - Chasiellis 2-1 (highlights: http://youtu.be/ujBTIQkpHO4 ) Tavagnacco - Como 5-1 Verona - Mozzanica 3-0 (highlights: http://youtu.be/snn1mAMjDtI ) In the table, Verona now has 34 pts, Brescia (1 match less) 32 pts, Tavagnacco 31 and Torres (2 matches less) 29 pts. Most of the missing matches haven't yet been rescheduled, Cyprus Cup and other NT duties are close, so I guess that will take a while before the SerieA will work through it, anyway next Saturday matchday again (hoperfully in full force).
Last saturday results: Chiasiellis - Verona 1-3 (highlights: http://youtu.be/hogpJe7MU20 please watch the 2nd goal of Verona) Firenze - Brescia 0-3 (highlights: http://youtu.be/1dkoM8P_Dl8) Mozzanica - Tavagnacco 1-5 (highlights: http://youtu.be/0LZYDWOWYzE) Como - Riviera di Romagna 1-0 Torres - Torino 3-0 Roma - Lazio 1-2 Milan - Venezia 1-2 In the top of the table nothing changed: Verona still leading with 37 pts., Brescia 35 pts (1 match less), Tavagnacco 34, Torres 32 (2 matches less). Today/tomorrow there are 4 making up matches, after that we'll have a more reliable table.
Tuesday/Wednesday matches: Lazio - Brescia 1-3 (highlights: http://youtu.be/FPlCebdjXD4) Mozzanica - Torres 0-5 (highlights: http://youtu.be/YWfo92sczhU) Torino - Firenze 4-4 Riviera di Romagna - Roma 3-0 In the table now Brescia is leading with 38 pts, Verona has 37 pts, Torres (1 match less) 35 pts and Tavagnacco 34. And Saturday big match Verona-Tavagnacco !
Last Saturday, after an amazing match, probably the best of this year SerieA, Tavagnacco chances for the championship vanished, since 7 pts to catch up to the leaders will be a (nearly) impossible task, shrinking to 3 the teams into play for the title... Torino - Como 2-0 Chiasiellis - Firenze 1-1 Verona - Tavagnacco 4-3 (highlights: http://youtu.be/hhK6xkMpYWw) Lazio - Milan 2-1 Riviera di Romagna - Mozzanica 0-2 Brescia - Roma 2-0 (highlights: http://youtu.be/F-03mS7Keiw) Venezia - Torres 0-3 In the table, Brescia is leading with 41 pts, Verona has 40 pts, Torres 38 pts and 1 match less, Tavagnacco 34 pts. Now 2 weeks break for Cyprus Cup, next turn will be played 11th March
Here we go with last sunday matches: Torres - Lazio 11-0 Firenze - Verona 0-3 (highlights:http://youtu.be/ZCn2-XT4Fe8) Milan - Brescia 0-4 (highlights:http://youtu.be/G3rmYuhD5Cc) Roma - Chiasiellis 2-2 Tavagnacco - Riviera di Romagna 4-0 Mozzanica - Torino 1-0 (highlights:http://youtu.be/YabuXZVsryw) Como - Venezia 3-1 In the top of the table, nothing changed: Brescia is still leading with 44 pts, Verona has 43 pts, Torres 41 (1 match less) and Tavagnacco 37 pts. Tomorrow will be played the last 3 catch-up matches, very likely Torres will join Brescia at the top...the next 9 matchdays will be very exciting, everything can happen. Meanwhile the bunch of foreign palyers in SerieA is slowing growing with 2 new entries: Verona recruited the Brazilian (with double passport) Marina Toscano Aggio, who recently played in Sweden and has got some NT caps too; now with 2 sweden and 2 brazilian players, is by far the more "international" team. Torino instead signed a CHINESE player, a certain Guo Rui, a forward who previously played in Tianjin team...I wonder if she came here on purpose or if was already in Italy, it's a long shot from China to Torino...anyway let's hope to see her soon on the pitch.
Last Wednesday catch-up matches: Lazio-Firenze 0-1 Riviera di Romagna - Torres 0-2 Venezia - Roma 1-1 Last Saturday matchday results: Chiasiellis-Torres 0-3 Brescia-Como 6-1 (highlights: http://youtu.be/O--xALIplDM) Venezia-Tavagnacco 1-1 Firenze-Milan 3-0 Lazio-Mozzanica 1-6 Verona-Roma 8-1 (highlights: http://youtu.be/SM4RR4wuAhE) Torino-Riviera di Romagna 3-2 The updated table now has Brescia and Torres leading with 47 pts, Verona has 46 pts, Tavagnacco with the last draw has only 38 pts and says goodbye to the last hopes for the 1°/2° spot Next Saturday big match Torres-Brescia, very likely there will be a new leader in the table, but which one ? Let's see !
Well, if I understand well the situation, Brescia and Torres could draw, and the new leader could be Verona... By the way, thanks for your work of keeping this thread alive and up-to-date. Although I am italian like you, I don't follow much italian woman football (I am a fan of Nadeshiko Japan instead ), but i somemetimes give a look here, and I guess there are also some other fans that sometimes read you to keep themselves mildly updated, although they don't post here. Keep up the good work!
Ciao Blisset, and thank you for your kind words Before the 2011 WWC I barely knew that there was the women soccer, and now I am here on daily basis, always hungry of news from other posters, and very happy to help (in my all small way) to spread news about the Italian panorama.... Of course in the WWC final I rooted for Japan , although now my favourite NT (beyond Italy) is France (how do you think of a Japan-France final at the Olympics ?) Anyway, back to Italian SerieA, here is last saturday matchday: Riviera di Romagna - Verona 0-1 (highlights: http://youtu.be/vNlQc0hSSFw) Milan - Chiasiellis 1-4 Roma - Firenze 0-2 Como - Lazio 2-0 Tavagnacco - Torino 5-1 Mozzanica - Venezia 2-1 (http://youtu.be/SdZ5dEeMEgQ) Torres - Brescia 4-1 Too bad I couldn't find highlights about the big match, but in the first half Brescia played great and scored first, but in the 2HT Torres came back with another character and turned the match upside down. In the table now Torres is leading alone with 50 pts., Verona second with 49 pts, Brescia has 47 pts and Tavagnacco 41 pts. SerieA will stop again for 2 weeks for the NT matches against Bosnia and Russia, next matchday on April 7th, stay tuned !
Ciao. I find a little silly talking between us in english, since there are not many other persons posting on this thread, but after all we are on Bigsoccer and we do hope there are many non-italian speakers reading us... I think it would actually be a great final! ^__^ Maybe the best final possible in terms of celebrating the real "new" in women football. Two teams with great players, it's always fun to view them and would put up a great show for sure in an Olympics final. Crossing fingers to get this in London. ^__^
Torres - Brescia highlights here: http://youtu.be/EjYlCDAHNFw The 2 NT matches against Bosnia (Saturday h. 16) and Russia (Wednesday h.15) will be on TV and streaming (Rai Sport), I'll post the link ASAP
there is a Chinese player in Torino's roster these day....good news.and earier ,our National team goalkeeper joined a sweden leagueII.
Important matchday last Saturday, with Torres that took advantage of the defeats of Brescia and Verona (this one quite surprisingly, they lost at home against Milan, a team that has already one foot in the "grave") to increase the leading to 4 points; now they have the bigger chanches for the championship, although still having to play two big matches away... The results: Roma - Torres 1-4 Firenze - Como 0-2 (http://youtu.be/oJ0kWsmx8MI) Brescia - Tavagnacco 0-2 (http://youtu.be/lLt46ErcieA) Verona - Milan 0-1 (http://youtu.be/o_lDSBUL0h0) Chiasiellis - Mozzanica 1-3 Lazio - Riviera di Romagna 1-0 Venezia - Torino 3-2 In the table, Torres is leading with 53pts, Verona has 49 pts, Brescia 47 pts, Tavagnacco 44. Next matchday on Saturday !
