Yep, instead of snow angels, we'll make snow worms.

    I entered a half-marathon for the 4th of April! :D

I ran 8km on Monday, and shall run 10km tomorrow. What a vibe.

    How you Case? What's news?

I do a fair bit of running. 3 miles a day keeps the doctor away.

Just got back from New Orleans yesterday after going down for a week to watch the game. My family's from down there, and I can't even begin to describe how much it means to the city for the Saints to have the season they did and go on to win the Super Bowl.

It really just is unbelievable. It was much for than a football game, and no other city deserved it more.

So, my Sunday league team hasn't played in weeks because of all of the snow that's hit us in the DC area. A bunch of us planned on going to the field after work tomorrow with shovels to try and clear it ourselves, but we heard that another league tried the same thing and and failed miserably after 3 hours. They couldn't get more than 10 yards cleared.

Our league commissioner started looking into contractors and originally got a quote of around $1500 for four operators of snow blowers plus 3 other guys. The guys went out today and denied the offer and said this amount of work is more like the commercial jobs they do around $15,000! Yes, $15,000! They said there is just too much snow out there and the entire center of the field would need to be hauled 30 yards away, which makes it way too tough. He contacted at least 10 contractors and no one wanted to deal with it because of the size of the area and the fact that they couldn’t use large equipment. No one will risk putting a Bobcat on the field because the liability is too high (they may destroy the field).

In short, the snow is not going to be removed from the field and games will not be played this weekend, or anytime soon. This stuff is not going to melt for a long, long time. We have 3 games to make up, and our Spring season is supposed to start in mid-March.

    Not happy.

I mean, I wouldn't be so upset about it if it wasn't for De Jong's comments afterwards. No remorse, no "I'm sorry" or "I hope he gets better soon." Nothing.

Yeah if you broke someone's leg you'd probably say sorry wouldn't you. Perhaps it's been done behind closed doors. He's never seemed that bad a bloke to me.

Haha not at all! Yeah was a hell of a strike at first I thought he'd missed it, til it rolled round in the net. He lashed that perfectly.

It really is a shame that Arteta's spanish. He'd be playing regularly for any other nation!

Yeah, before he got injured, he was ahead of Fabregas in the Spanish running. Perhaps would have made the bench at the Confederations Cup. Yet he got injured against shitty Newcastle. The gulf in form between he and Fabregas is huge now.

It was a brilliant goal - he scores all the hard ones and misses the sitters! I don't think he will go back to the Galaxy!

We're all hoping he's not, that's for sure. He's meant to play at Goodison.

As long as he beats England I'm down with where ever he plays. If he left LA I won't mind less competition in MLS
