Besides Shavar's move to Philly, Abe Thompson also has a new team, as Houston waived Thompson and he was picked up by Salt Lake.

So I just found out that Paul Wright is actually still playing. He's on the roster for the San Diego Sockers in the PASL-Pro division.

Does Abe shine with Philly? He showed some life in his few appearances with Houston. Maybe the spark for an expansion team?

Onalfo interviewed for the Chivas USA position, according to Ives.

So he's now been linked to pretty much every job out there: Dallas technical director, DC head coach, Red Bulls sporting director, Chicago head coach....sounds like he's a hot commodity -- where will he end up?

Yanks Abroad has a nice article on Chris Konopka who is again out of contract at the moment (never realized Ireland played March - November schedule too). He helped a First Division Irish side gain promotion to the Premier Division, win the FAI Cup and qualify for Europa League.

Any chance he gets a deal in MLS?

I don't see that happening. He trained with both NY and SJ (I believe) last year and neither one picked him up.
