Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] One of the local exchange students is from Ålesund, and he was ecstatic about the win. Tico Pablo Herrera also plays for Aalesunds FK. Both scored in the PK shoot out to win the Cup.
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] He's also in consideration for NY sporting director role. http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/teams/redbulls2.php?article_id=21223

Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] Here's hoping he has more luck in Denmark than Will John did... course, it'll help if Yura's not a whiny bitch...
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] http://keepinitrealsl.blogspot.com/2009/11/real-salt-lake-acquires-abe-thompson.html Besides Shavar's move to Philly, Abe Thompson also has a new team, as Houston waived Thompson and he was picked up by Salt Lake.
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] So I just found out that Paul Wright is actually still playing. He's on the roster for the San Diego Sockers in the PASL-Pro division.
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] Since the news was mentioned in this thread...... Does Abe shine with Philly? He showed some life in his few appearances with Houston. Maybe the spark for an expansion team?
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] He got picked up by RSL, not Philly, but good luck to him nonetheless.
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] My bad, I had Philly on the brain when I wrote that and didn't read the story right.
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] Onalfo interviewed for the Chivas USA position, according to Ives. So he's now been linked to pretty much every job out there: Dallas technical director, DC head coach, Red Bulls sporting director, Chicago head coach....sounds like he's a hot commodity -- where will he end up?
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] Yanks Abroad has a nice article on Chris Konopka who is again out of contract at the moment (never realized Ireland played March - November schedule too). He helped a First Division Irish side gain promotion to the Premier Division, win the FAI Cup and qualify for Europa League. Any chance he gets a deal in MLS?
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] I don't see that happening. He trained with both NY and SJ (I believe) last year and neither one picked him up.

Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] It's an older article, but I was doing some research on some former Wizards and found this on Neal Kitson. http://www.fiveborosports.com/ssp/news?news_id=3561 Long list of injuries for him, surprised the Wizards only found one of them when he was cut.
Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] Continuing some work I'm doing on Wizards alumni, I found this picture.

Re: Wizards Alumni v9.1 [R for all games] Interesting, although the Daily Mail, which the article is based on, isn't that great of a source.
