This Revs fan just wants a new crest andbuild a stadium closer to the city with MBTA access. And I want to stay New England Revolution.

I like the name New England Revolution. It fits with the area. Not every team name has to be a rip off of some famous European club.

What is it about calling them 'Boston Revolution' that is a rip off of a Euro club? That's about the only name that's gotten any traction in this thread.

D'oh, totally forgot about them. But even that is a state and not a region, there are no Rocky Mountain Nuggets or Midwest Bulls. I think it works in some states with only one major metropolitan area: Colorado, Indiana, Minnesota, maybe a few others I'm forgetting.

There is nothing wrong with that either. I just don't like the copycat European names.

This spot may be on the T but it's essentially still in the middle of nowhere, hardly anyone goes to f'ing Revere. Somerville on the other hand would be as close to perfect as a spot not in Boston city limits can be, so of course all talk of that has disappeared because when it comes to the Krafts and MLS nothing is allowed to make sense....

You also have the potential for a small retail place if we get Suffolk Downs, which is in East Boston(not the middle of nowhere), and close to Logan.
