Well...............the USMNT doesn't exactly have many forward options.

We've been calling up guys like Sapong and Gordon over the past year, so why not Will Bruin?

Well that's true. I guess I'd be for seeing Wondolowski get an extended run before Bruin but hey, if Jurgen were to call him in, why not?

Whether Will Bruin is ahead of, or behind, Jozy Altidore and Terrence Boyd is irrelevant to me. I do rate him behind both at this point, but we need depth at forward, and Bruin should be evaluated during the January camp and friendlies throughout 2013 if his form holds.

While many US fans are feeling more optimistic about our strikers than we've been since 2009, I'd still like to see more proven scoring options emerge. Right now, the only near-automatic selections for me are:
    1. Jozy Altidore
    2. Herculez Gomez
    3. Eddie Johnson
After that, the depth chart is wide open, with players such as Boyd, Wondolowski, Buddle (if he can ever recover his 2010 form), Bruin, Alan Gordon, Bunbury, Sapong and McInerney in the mix. I'm wondering if Kenny Cooper perhaps deserves another look. He has been ignored by Klinsmann thus far, despite chipping in 17 goals in 2012.

Agreed. Bruin's best chances might come post WC, say 2 years from now. Scoring a lot in MLS is damn good but needs to get a way to Europe to catch JK's eye. Better hurry as Agudelo is improving and Boyd is probably heading back to the Bundesliga soon.

Well.....Vieri only played 1 year at Juve and his stats there are not remarkable.

I think you are referring to Inter:

I prefer him to a player like Wondo, but I don't think he's best 23 NT quality.

Might be a valuable CONCACAF player, Will Bruin.

For the past 3-4 years, he has been getting a goal or an assist at the rate of a little more than every other game, which is not very good for the midfield support he has had.

Bruin isn't a battering ram type of a center forward, so the goal creation rate really needs picking up in order for the player to merit a call.

Is he better than Chad Barrett?

This thread is amusing since half the Dynamo fan base seems to love him while the other half can't wait until he leaves.

This year. Coyle might have him on the trading block come July 8 once Torres can play. That way they can get something from him rather than nothing.

Would throw a fair trade deal that way, a second rounder in 2017 with a first round condition if he scores 8 or more goals in the season.
