Wichita Wings could be back the misl added a link on its face book page

Wichita, are you ready? It's a question every Wichita Wings fan remembers well and it's a question they may soon be asked to answer again. Should local soccer fans prepare for another invasion of the Orange Army? KAKE News has confirmed that an investor group is trying to muster support for a team.

I see announcement tomorrow and announcment Tuesday, tomorrow is not tuesday...

Anyways, instead of finding new owners for new teams, maybe they should find owners for existing teams being run by others (see Omaha)

www.wichitawings.com has been purchased again just in the last few days and the logo has been put on it.

The rumor is the team will be ready to play next season.

Exciting times here in Wichita!! :D

It's exciting for everyone who follows the MISL. Maybe soon they can have over 10 teams, divide into two divisions and start playing the 40+ game season per team like the MISL used to have!

While these things are positive.. they are all things that can be done for bascially about 100 bucks and about 3 hours of time by anyone...

I hope it happens but I wouldnt go to crazy

I like that they are using the traditional "W" logo vs the airplane logo.

I usually refrain from posting things I hear that is not from the horses mouth, but my friend Justin "in the 410" has good information that the Riot looks like they will be sold, and that it's possible that the former Rampage ownership is involved (he was not 100% on the rampage ownership, but said he spokento someone at Tom Rubio's company who admitted that Tom is interested in ownership of a team in the Chicagoland area, especially with his ownership with the chicago magic, but didn't necessarily want to be the sole owner like he was in Rockford).

He also mentioned that Detroit has either submitted an application or will submit within the week. He didn't think it was the ignition ownership, because Mr. hantz and Ed Hale hate each other so much, but I thought it was interesting anyway.

Nothing about Wichita or Harrisburgh, mbut it does sound like Sonny Williams is out in Dallas, which of all of the relaunch teams, I was the most excited about the sidekicks.

The st.Louis owners have spent some time at comets games recently, which I think is a great sighn, but in this league you just never know. It sounds like the blues, which I posted were interested months ago, may no longer be interested. I am wrong, I admit it.

I guess most people are smart enough to not spend $250,000 in expansion money for the privilege to lose $500,000 plus each year.

Again, sorry I am posting third party info, but if anyone knows, it is Justin, he is close to management with a team and they speak daily.

I hope everyone is having a great new year! I hope this is the year the MISL stabilizes

You mean the Blues really had been interested the last five years after all?

Yes. That I actually had knowledge of. They actually know how to ru. Sports businesses (real salt lake, Peoria river men, and the blues, and those respective arenas) and because of their sports business acumen, they would not fit in with mr. Hale or mr. Linden berg, who might understand how to run banks and whatever lindenberg does outside of the wave, but have no idea how to run a sports team.

Well, maybe Mr.hale, whose annual take home on the blast is anywhere between $25,000 and $40,000 - the same amount Milwaukee looses each month.

Then what is the mysterious Tuesday announcement about?

For the love of God please use city names. The Heat don't exist and I can almost guarantee you the owners of the Kixx and Ignition were not there.

Just like if a record company met with Ringo Starr they wouldn't tell people they met with the Beatles. You see how stupid that looks?

You know NOTHING about the St. Louis group. As far as ownership, the Blues were NEVER going to be involved and that was NEVER the plan. The only thing the Blues will have to do with a St. Louis team is renting out the Scottrade Center for the team to play in.

Then why was Steve Ryan meeting with Dave Checketts every Friday for several years? Wasn't that what you kept breathlessly telling us?

No sir...I never said that. Steve Ryan was NEVER involved. And why does it matter who the ownership group is?

Wow that's revisionist history. I wish Kenn was here to pull up a handful of damning posts against you.

If they are serious I hope Omaha and Chicago both stick around.
