There are many factors that make soccer so cruel and devastating for fans and players alike. To begin with, there is no video replay and bad calls are made all the time in every game and many times it happens in the most important moment of these player’s careers. Just ask Frank Lampard and the England world cup squad.
After years of disappointing for England, Mr. Lampard finally scored a World Cup goal in the most crucial time, while being behind 2-1 vs. Germany. Unfortunately none of the officiating crew saw the ball cross the line and the goal that 1 billion people saw on their television was denied. Lampard lost his redemption and England lost the game, and cruelty reigned supreme.
