Why SKC should win the Supporters Shield

The team are just 5 points off the top having played a game more, the race is still very much wide open...

 

Yeah, I bumped it. I know, I know. We are not the "team" we were last year and we can find personnel (or coaching/utilization) issues all over the field, but seemingly, no other team is taking advantage of the broad league-wide parity either. LA looked like world-beaters for a month and Portland has been hot, but really, nobody is pulling away from the pack. With a good run of results, we're in this. And even more remarkably, despite our goal scoring challenges for most of the season so far, we're not even that far off on that tiebreaker. Pass the Kool-Aid.

Teams in the West have an unfair advantage... they all get to play Chivas 3 times, while Eastern conference teams only play them once.

By similar logic, Chivas has the hardest schedule of any team since they're the only team that never gets to play against Chivas USA.

 

DC is worse than Chivas. Think about that for a minute.

Of all the fan feedback over the years. The most common request YCJ Photos has gotten has been along the lines of "Can you post more photos of Carlos Bocanegra with his shirt off?"

 

If SKC win the next game while the other results go their way,
they will be just 1 point off the Top of SS Standings.

The dream is certainly still alive...

 

There is no summer shield.

 

There is no (Wooden) Spoon either...

 

If you think the Summer Shield makes sense, you don't understand why there's a Supporters Shield.

 

and there's not a trophy given for that dumb idea either.
