and by the way, until Messi actually does something for his National Team, his legacy will forever remain in Europe, as the greatest club player behind Di Stefano. Here in South America, we tend to take our National Teams more serious than anything else. And we also tend to take any championship in which we have to beat everyone to get it, as a higher class championship. This whole idea of, if we beat everyone in Europe we have become the best in the world, is once again as racist as it gets.
Yes but that was part of his legacy ... and unless he scores 1 PK or 1 FK in every few games??? Now if ONE tried to make Brazil league ( and regional games) are lower then what the POINT to compare their stats from one league to the other??? So forget the fact Seedorf scoring many goals in Brazil vs his days with Milan (in first place) since he played in EASIER LEAGUE??? Some one is playing with chickens and eggs here????
I stand corrected. The Brazilian league has a lower goal per game average than even Serie A. Com média de 2,47, Brasileiro-2012 tem menos gols que o 'defensivo' Italiano http://www.espn.com.br/noticia/2966...ional_italiano_frances_alemao_ingles_espanhol So much for all that space and no marking....
Well ... Brazilian strikers are not as good as the European Strikers... watch this will be the next argument.
Took the words out of my mouth. But with the likes of Neymar, Fred, Lucas, etc, I guess our strikers/attackers really do suck!
They don't suck, but likely 25-year old Neymar will be better than the one that played at Santos. Similar argument for Lucas and all the rest that left Brazil to spend the prime of their career in Europe.
Similar argument for Fred, Fabiano, Barcos, Bruno Mineiro, Kieza, Bernard or Aloisio? Show me a league in Europe where 14 goals gets you third place on the top goal scoring. It's hard to score there. Guigs beat me to it. Fred is a prime example of a player who spent their team in Brazil. Some talents get wasted like Fred did in France (Scocco did in Europe) and go on to develop and improve their game with playing time, a better atmosphere, etc in Brazil (or even Argentina). It clearly wasn't a lack of quality that kept Fres for succeeding in Europe. In a matter of a week, I saw Fred completely own a World Class CB in Chiellini for a ball and finish for a goal. Against Spain, he had a World Class finish for his second goal. This is what he had been doing since his arrival at Fluminense. Fred is miles better a player today than he was when he was in the squad for the 06 World Cup.
As you can see Neymar has been destroying teams in the Brasileirao with a great avg of 14 goals per Brasileirao! I don't think you realize they don't score that much in Brazil, which is why it makes it so hard for somebody to avg .52 goals per game in the Brasileirao like Neymar has done. But you know what unlike his European counterparts he does .52 gpg in the Brasileirao and .61 gpg in our National Team. Raising his goals per game .10 points on our national team. let's compare to your messiah. .87 gpg in La Liga .42 gpg in Argentinean NT play want to compare La Liga to the Brasileirao? because to me that's pretty telling of the defense played on each competition.
So I guess the Russian League is even better than Brazil because its top goal scorer scored 13 goals last season...
Fred had some good moments at Lyon too. In any event, there are always exceptional cases. But the general rule is that top Brazilian players spend their best years outside Brazil...

Eto'o's last year at Inter he was a top 3 goal scorer in Italy. His following year in Russia, he wasn't as successful. Vagner Love struggled at Flamengo last year and when he returned to Russia, he tore it up as won Player of the Month twice (and he only played 3 months). Funny how things work, eh?
That's correct. They play 30 games. But even if you project these totals to 38 games, you still have the top scorer netting just 16 (0.4 GPG).
Where are the years? Link? In 06/07, he scored 7 in 26 games, which is 0.27 ratio. http://espnfc.com/player/_/id/11926/clarence-seedorf?cc=5901 Seedorf played 24 games last season, not 22.
Last season in CSKA 9 league goals, 0,360 GpG, and in his first season in Flamengo 13 league goals 0,361 GpG.
When you compare the top Russian goal scorer to their top goal scorer for their National team, is the gpg the same? because that's what I'm comparing, the parody between goal scorers on their leagues.
