I have been a follower of Eto'o from Barcelona to Inter. My earlier visits at the Barca thread were instructive and there was always something interesting or controversial to read. Plenty of news, rumors, etc. After the recent CL games I went to the AC Milan thread out of curiosity and they had at least 5 pages of discussion on the game. Our thread had a measly 1 page and contributions coming in piecemeal. Can anyone explain? Is it because Inter has fewer followers? I doubt that, because if you read the goal.com blogs, Inter seems to command quite a following. Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts.

I really don't know man, some people left that contributed regularly last year. Even last year we had a fairly small community here with about 6-7 guys that were Inter fans who contributed regularly and the rest were guys who drooped by.

I switched to this other forum but I still drop by to read, basically you have nothing to discuss here because nobody is here. Mara and Samora also switched if I saw it right and they were among top contributors here. I liked this forum but its dead here in Inter section, kinda hoped more people would join once we won the treble but it is exactly the opposite. If things start moving again Ill contribute but right now its ridicules and pointless. Goal.com forums are full off idiots they know jack shit about football and mostly people there just come to annoy other people and post crap.:(

There, there(pat in the back), to be honest, bibo pretty much nailed it, I for one got tired that there was only a few of us who participated(weekly, not even regularly:rolleyes:)
Since I didnt see the forum grow, i decided to go to this placehttp://forzainterforums.com/index.php
which bibo told me about before, way more discussion and analysis etc.

however I liked bigsoccer because you can discuss and meet all kinds of people, true(and some plastic) fans of other teams and see their perspective, that and you can be a follower of more than one team and no one really cares

In FiF, people constantly bash other teams, using strong language, and i mean strong, apparently its not kool being or saying your a fan of another team, such as Real Madrid or Schalke etc.

that and match day threads are the worst, this is how i sum up their match day threads:
60% insults to the other teams players or even our own using strong language ex. Pandev is a fckn weak c_nt etc.
30% what the coach should be doing
    5% stats, random stuff, jokes
    5% actual analysis, arguments, strategy

Im just warning you if you decide to check it out, if you dont know your stuff about strategy, formations, who played for us, player performance
then be warned that they will bite, these guys know their stuff

also note that there are bandwagoners there, especially people who think Inter are Madrid and can buy anyone, and that we are all powerful treble champions that cannot not lose.

But half of the people there are true fans(mostly international) that know how the market works, know who we have in primavera and are linked to, know their history

Bigsoccer is a US forum, not a lot of Inter fans in US(even though the number has increased), and even international fans dont know of this place or join FiF because there are a lot of contributers

I kinda wanted to see how long i can stay away from Big soccer, since i was a little addicted to it

anyways good luck and have fun

    LOL Goal.com xD omg LMAO
i know what you mean bibo, some of those people are incredibly stupid, and are just following the hype to be honest, and the rest are either fans who know very little or fans that actually know whats going on
plus the usual milan and juve fans that have nothing better to do than to trash talk

are you a member of FiF also? whats your name? dont tell me your that tiger dude from croatia:confused:

in other news, how you been old chum?

No man I'm registered everywhere with the same name, I'm a member there for quite some time but I rarely post because the forum is to big and generally you cant enter in any normal discussion since it gets lost quite fast especially on a match day.

As for my state I'm suffering because Ben seems to be a genuine idiot and he will screw everything up if he gets time. :D

    Anyway wb if your back.

ah....cmon now bibo, his not doing great but i learned its too early to tell, if we get eliminated in CL and are below 2nd in the league then i would agree
    Off with his head;)

    and another thing

why the F___ do we not have a Inter mod, theres like 7 mods and none of them are inter fans, or even participate in here(not that theres much to participate in anyways....)

I nominate bibo for mod (if he has time) or mara
    last resort: me xD

Yes, it's true that this forum doesn't have that many followers. I check this forum regularly but no one really posts.

I try to be as constructive as I can. I also am on two different forums:

    www.xtratime.org (mostly for Serbian football)

and fif.com (for Inter related stuff)

I like this forum because there is about 6-8 guys who talk about Inter and what they think which is sometimes better than fif.com because you don't get a whole barrage of comments after you have said something.

It's nice to have a good discussion with a couple of people.

As for me, I have been pretty busy this summer as I went to Europe and I'm getting ready to start a career after graduating in May thus I have been a little off the boil. That will soon change though.

And as Samora mentioned, as well as Bibo, this is a USA forum thus most of the posts are either about the top 4 in England or Real and Barca. Other than that people don't really like other teams in the US.

I remember 5 years ago when I was on this forum.. it was only me, MetroChile, and a 1-2 others supporting Inter.

That is exactly the reason I like coming on here and discussing the games with you people...

Samora looks at me and goes:

    WHO YOU CALLING YOU PEOPLE??!

    :D

Hopefully that joke is not lost on some of you.

Thanks to all for your participation. Basically I have been attracted here because Big Soccer has mostly courteous (and informed) participants. Besides, your comments are immediately posted and gross individuals who insult are usually kept in check or even thrown out. Healthy debate should not require insults in my view. Which is why I am not too thrilled on goal.com forums because of the shallowness of many participants. Besides, some comments take long to appear or don't appear at all.

So basically I spent roughly an hour looking back at the creation of this forum and the amount of posts, threads, activity etc.

and to be frank, this thread alone is 57% more active than the total threads in here
    since 2002

the average thread has less than 10 posts, however in the last 3 years(2007-2010) the amount of threads and posts have multiplied in a steady rate, before that the most popular threads were threads that other serie A fans or fans from other clubs in general posted in

to me its a bit odd though that the amount of "inter club supporters"(the group you can join in BS so it shows in your profile) has 58 people, and I usually spot someone who has inter in their favorite clubs, yet only 7% of those people actually post anything

In conclusion: Be thankful there's people to even talk to:D, if you look back there's lots of threads that have 0 posts, and the number of posters can be counted in one hand

personally I went back to see what I wrote, I sounded like a kid at points(which is what I was), glad that's over
