Suriname joining COMEBOL, would be a disaster for their regional strength and themselves locally, it would be like Brazil facing the US Virgin Islands @ home.

I am pretty sure Surinam is ranked higher than the Virgin Islands, I could be wrong.

Because FIFA has categorically made their position known time and again that the Football Confederations do not have to correspond to geographical conventions.

More importantly why the **** do Surinam prevent players who move abroad to play club football from turning out for the national team? They could be a powerhouse with guys who hit 25 and realize they have no chance of playing for Holland
