You don't seem to have caught the news that AUS, since 1 Jan 2006, is part of Asia (AFC) when it comes to football. Do keep up, please. :p

I do, but I thought this arguement was historically speaking, you can't just base your comments in this last qualifiers. Sorry, but if a team as Australia can beat another team 32-0, that tells you something in wrong!!!

    31-0, actually.

A country's FA couldn't pick its region/confederation and the teams it played therein, but AUS found a way to escape, despite the Old Septic Bladder, FIFA and the rest of the FIFA Executive.

I know, and I admit it, CONCACAF should disappear, I'm sick and tired of South-Americans saying that Mexico wouldn't make it in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. Besides, that would help us a lot.

I think Mexico should worry about finishing first in their group before they start talking about moving to Comnebol.

The CONCACAF thing has nothing to do with the WC, I don't see your point with that comment

It's simple and obvious. Let alone the traditional powers, England, Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Holland, Portugal.

The USA would have a much harder time qualifying to the World Cup if they had to play 2nd tier european teams such as Czech Rep, Denmark, Belgium, Serbia & Montenegro, Croatia, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland.

Each european qualifying group gets a seeded team which is one of the traditional powers and then one of the 2nd tier teams. Then there are plenty of 3rd tier teams who are still good.

    duhhhhhh...

He makes a clear point: USA and Mexico have it too easy to advance to WC and to make it to the finals in Continental competition. In Europe and in Conmebol you besides the superpowers the other teams have to earn their berth. In Concacaf besides Costa Rica which team is a threat to the 2 regional superpowers?
