That camp meant 2 people (the two that are doling out insults left and right). I apologize for the misunderstanding.
In all fairness I’ve responded in kind to the cretins in your camp but I'm sorry you feel insulted if I am one of the two. This was actually a civilized discussion with the likes of Bolivianfuego and Minduchio till the cretins hijacked it. Cheers.
They're "cretins" because they happen to like commentators you don't and also because they happen to dislike commentators you do like?
I find it interesting you insist on digressing. If you have a superior argument to mine on this issue, I'll suggest you make it known. Did you bother to read the part where "ray ran a train on there [sic] wife [sic]"? You've not actually read all the responses did you? I'll indulge you and answer your question - Yes, you are a mindless cretin if all you offer to an argument is running a train on wives and/or you can't string two sentences together coherently. That individual should be muting the tv or stick to watching cartoons. Back to the issue at hand, bein is a joke and nothing but another goltv with ray/phil calling games. Like i said years ago, ray will always be utter rubbish - as a player, manager and pundit.
He understood you just fine. Your use of "camp" to describe 2 people out of the many who have disagreed with your position was sloppy at best, and intentionally misleading at worst. It never pays to sling mud against people who use reasoning in their arguments, no matter how much you may disagree with them. Getting back to the real subject at hand, how do you BeIN apologists justify the channel deciding to take a winter break from airing live programming in conjunction with the breaks in Spain and Italy? Did they forget that they purchased rights to the N Power Championship? Last I looked, there was a packed holiday program being played in that league, but you'd never know it based upon BeIN's schedule. Please, explain to me how this programming decision does not reveal how cheaply and shabbily run this network is at the moment?
Today (12/31) they're showing live tennis from Qatar - the exact same feed that is being run by the Tennis Channel. Wow my heart is beating sport
Way to totally ignore the question I asked you in the second half of my post. I guess your non-response proves even you have no defense for beIN's obvious mistakes and general laziness.
Same feed, yet somehow delayed. They are at least a full game behind the Tennis Channel feed. So, I guess "Live" is a matter of semantics for our friends at beIN? Although, I assume we can be grateful that they haven't felt the need to make Phil and Ray announce this, too!
I have never defended the problems beIN has had since its inception. You need to re-read my posts then in case that is the position you think I am defending. The only issue I have personally is with the two people that have resorted to insults in order to try to impose their opinion on the people that disagree with them. I hope I clarified that sufficiently for you.
You have continually defended the hiring of Ray Hudson, who in many people's opinions has been a huge problem with beIN since its inception.
Please show me where I have "continually defended Ray Hudson's hiring". All I've said all along is for me personally (not saying this works for everyone) a commentator does not make or break a game broadcast for me. The game itself is exciting enough so that I do not have to worry about the commentators. I don't like or dislike the guy, personally but I won't stop watching beIN or any or the matches he covers because he's doing a game. You have a serious reading comprehension problem and again (I will repeat this because you have shown not to be able to understand some simple concepts) my issue is with the two people that tried to solidify their position on the basis of insulting others (and there have been insults from both sides though the bulk of them come from the anti-Ray Hudson camp, namely and/or exclusively from two individuals). In regards to how I feel about beIN Sport in general, well to me having CONMEBOL WCQ is a definite plus (beats the hell out of having to pay $20-30 on PPV per match); and apparently beIN has also picked up the rights to the U20 WCQ CONMEBOL tourney which is another major plus for me (again, I am not trying to present my opinion as the right one or anything: I am just repeating--once again, for you--how I personally feel). That being said, it is a shame that La Liga gets prioritized over Serie A and I do think that is unfair. I am guessing--and I am sure this has been discussed ad nauseam already--that beIN execs just think that they can probably make more money broadcasting Madrid and Barca than Juve or Inter (in the 'States, I mean). So in conclusion I do not think beIN has been a failure but I certainly think there are plenty of things that can be addressed/improved upon. And again, I have never "continually defended" Ray Hudson (in short--which I've said before about 4-5 times, I am indifferent to him and most commentators). I am repeating again in this post because you did not understand that earlier so I just wanna make sure I get this point across. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to do so.
I would bring a mod on here to lock this thread. It has really gotten out of hand and its now a war of words that doesnt even relate to the topic at hand...
Dude, if you group all of your posts together all you will do is create one centralized monument to your incoherence and progressive back pedaling. But if you want to waste your time assembling something that no one will bother to read, knock yourself out.
Ok so you failed to understand I never defended Ray Hudson. You have issues with reading comprehension. Let's move on then.
Yup, that must be it. Couldn't be that you are incapable of entertaining dissent and discussing it in a rational, non personal manner. Unless of course someone "calls you names," because that justifies you immediately unleashing an ad hominem attack on everyone who disagrees with you. (Google it.) Happy New Year!
Trying to steal some of those ratings off Tennis Channel, huh? Knowing them, I'm surprised they didn't opt for a "90 in 30" repeat or a Barca repeat. I'm sure there was SOME live soccer/football today somewhere...
You would think if they could only get rights on a delayed basis, it would be same-day or 24-hour, etc. Then again, maybe it was a 30-minute delay like what Bundesliga was on FOX Sports World at 10:00 AM ET Saturday mornings?
