Assuming the following 15 guys make the 30 who are JK's remaining 15? Altidore Besler Bedoya Bradley Cameron Dempsey Donovan Gonzalez Johanssson F Johnson Jones Zusi Howard Guzan Rimando Edit. If you select other. Post who the other is.
I made this pole, and I had to select "other" because I forgot to include Orozco. I think Orozco beats out Onyewu in the 30.
Beasley Beckerman Davis Diskerud Edu Evans Green Goodson Johnson Parkhurst Shea Wondo Other: Orozco Castillo What's the rule with injuries? If someone gets hurt do you need to replace them with someone from the 30? Or can you bring anybody? If you have to pick form the 30 then you bring a 4th keeper Sean Johnson. If you can pick anyone then I'd bring Corona
FWIW according to this article Jurgen will only invite 26 to 28 players from the 30 man list http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...14/04/17/u-s-world-cup-training-camp-details/
Injury replacement does NOT have to be on the 30. Never understood that, but now it makes sense (the GK thing).
GK 1. Howard, 2. Guzan, 3. Rimando, 4. Johnson FB 1. Johnson, 2. Cameron, 3. Parkhurst, 4. Evans, 5. Chandler, 6. Beasley CB: 1. Besler, 2. Goodson, 3. Brooks, 4. Gonzalez, 5. Onyewu MF: 1. Bradley, 2. Beckerman, 3. Jones, 4. Diskerud, 5. Williams, 6. Edu AM: 1. Dempsey, 2. Donovan, 3. Zusi, 4. Bedoya, 5. Green FW: 1. Altidore, 2. Johannsson, 3. Wondolowski, 4. E. Johnson Missed the cut: Hall, Hamid, Yedlin, Ream, Beltran, Spector, Castillo, Orozco Fiscal, Packwood, Morales, Kljestan, Corona, Torres, Feilhaber, Gil, Davis, Shea, Mapp, Magee, Agudelo, Boyd
GK's: Tim Howard, Brad Guzan, Nick Rimando Defenders: Geoff Cameron, Timmy Chandler, Brad Evans, Matt Besler, Omar Gonzalez, John Anthony Brooks, Clarenece Goodson, Fabian Johnson, DaMarcus Beasley, Michael Parkhurst Midfielders: Michael Bradley, Jermaine Jones, Mix Diskerud, Danny Williams, Kyle Beckerman, Maurice Edu, Landon Donovan, Alejandro Bedoya, Graham Zusi, Julian Green Forwards: Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey, Aron Johannsson, Juan Agudelo, Terrence Boyd, Chris Wondolowski, Eddie Johnson If its 26 to 28 players that are brought into the camp, that probably eliminates Edu and Boyd, one of Evans, Beasley or Parkhurst and one of Wondo, EJ or Agudelo.
Here is how it is looking after 20 total votes so far... The first 26 are fairly clear: Beasley - 95% Besler Cameron Evans - 80% Gonzalez Goodson - 85% Parkhurst - 90% Bedoya Bradley Beckerman - 95% Davis - 80% Diskerud - 90% Edu - 85% F Johnson Jones Zusi Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson - 90% Green - 95% Wondowloski - 95% Howard Guzan Rimando Potential list to reach 30 (Choose 4): Brooks - 50% Shea - 50% Agudelu - 45% Williams - 45% Yeldin - 45% Onyewu - 35% Kljestan - 30% Feilhaber - 25% Orozco - 15%
Update... Here is how it is looking after 25 total votes so far... The first 26 are still fairly clear: Beasley - 96% Besler Cameron Evans - 80% Gonzalez Goodson - 88% Parkhurst - 92% Bedoya Bradley Beckerman - 96% Davis - 76% Diskerud - 88% Edu - 84% F Johnson Jones Zusi Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson - 88% Green - 88% Wondowloski - 96% Howard Guzan Rimando Potential list to reach 30 (Choose 4): Brooks - 52% Other - 52% Williams - 48% Yeldin - 48% Shea - 44% Agudelu - 40% Onyewu - 28% Kljestan - 24% Feilhaber - 24% Seeing as "Other" is at 52% we might need another pole to figure out the last four to make the roster. Besides these guys we should include Corona, Castillo, Chandler, Gomez, Orozco, Ream and Boyd. Is there anybody else I am missing? maybe Gil or Beltran?
Shea should be on there for speed on the flanks and the ability to cause havoc on the counter. Without Shea our team starts to lack speed outside with all the slow wingers.
Another Update... Here is how it is looking after 28 total votes so far... Brad Davis slipped a bit. 76% to 67%. I would say the first 25 are clear now. The first 25 are fairly clear: Beasley - 96.4% Besler Cameron Evans - 75% Gonzalez Goodson - 89.3% Parkhurst - 89.3% Bedoya Bradley Beckerman - 96.4% Diskerud - 89.3% Edu - 78.6% F Johnson Jones Zusi Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson - 89.3% Green - 89.3% Wondowloski - 92.9% Howard Guzan Rimando Potential list to reach 30 (Choose 5): Davis - 67.9% Brooks - 53.6% Other - 50% Williams - 50% Yeldin - 50% Shea - 42.9% Agudelu - 42.9% Onyewu - 28.6% Kljestan - 25% Feilhaber - 21.4% I will create another pole to figure out the last 4 or 5 spots, after more votes come in.
Interesting how the ones picked are all too old to transfer to Europe or the young ones (Green, Diskeruud) are already playing there.
I voted for Green, but the more I think about it, the more he's likely to become a Findley 2010 than a Donovan 2002 -- but we really need to see him play more games. Of the guys stated above I'd love to see Mixx play in the hole higher up the pitch -- I think he gives us a different look up front when he's played up there -- and I'd like to see Edu in a centerback or fullback role -- just to see -- he got high ratings for some reason against Mexico, but I think he left the CB's much too exposed. That being said I think he's a great player, and I'd love to see him on the backline. I chose Feilhaber for some reason -- I'd rather swap him for Corona.
For some reason I don't see a poll I can vote on, just the results? In regards to this question. I would say Yedlin, Davis, Klestan, Agudela, and my "other" is Ream.
Yep, I'll buy that TR will be given a look at the pre-WC camp. I think he's been playing too well for too long this season to be ignored at a time when our CB depth is pretty shallow.
hoping/thinking that this is spot on. can't complain too much. it's far too late for yedlin to knock off evans, and jk will surly have a trick or two up his sleeve. that 30, on the whole, has some good players and a few different options in terms of formation and personnel. it'll be much harder to go from 30 to 23...
Another Update... Here is how it is looking after 40 total votes... Brad Davis is back up to 70%... The first 26 are now fairly clear: Beasley - 97.5% Besler Cameron Evans - 75% Gonzalez Goodson - 90% Parkhurst - 92.5% Bedoya Bradley Beckerman - 97.5% Davis - 70% Diskerud - 90% Edu - 77.5% F Johnson Jones Zusi Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson - 90% Green - 87.5% Wondowloski - 95% Howard Guzan Rimando Potential list to reach 30 (Choose 4): Brooks - 50% Williams - 47.5% Other - 45% Yeldin - 42.5% Shea - 37.5% Agudelu - 37.5% Onyewu - 30% Kljestan - 30% Feilhaber - 15% Here is the pole to figure out the last 4.
A few more votes and the numbers are pretty steady.... Here is how it is looking after 47 total votes. The first 26 are still fairly clear: Beasley - 97.9% Besler Cameron Evans - 76.6% Gonzalez Goodson - 91.5% Parkhurst - 93.6% Bedoya Bradley Beckerman - 97.9% Davis - 68.1% Diskerud - 91.5% Edu - 78.7% F Johnson Jones Zusi Altidore Dempsey Donovan Johanssson E Johnson - 91.5% Green - 87.2% Wondowloski - 95.7% Howard Guzan Rimando Potential list to reach 30 (Choose 4): Brooks - 53.2% Williams - 48.9% Yedlin - 46.85% Other - 42.6% Shea - 40.4% Agudelu - 40.4% Kljestan - 36.2% Onyewu - 29.8% Feilhaber - 17% and don't forget to vote in this poll... Here is the poll to figure out the last 4.
Here is my 30 GK 1. Howard, 2. Guzan, 3. Rimando FB 1. Cameron, 2. Parkhurst, 3. Evans, 4. Chandler, 5. Beasley, 6. Ream CB: 1. Besler, 2. Goodson, 3. Brooks, 4. Gonzalez MF: 1. Bradley, 2. Beckerman, 3. Jones, 4. Diskerud, 5. Williams, 6. Edu, 7.F Johnson AM: 1. Dempsey, 2. Donovan, 3. Zusi, 4. Bedoya, 5. Green FW: 1. Altidore, 2. Johannsson, 3. Wondolowski, 4. E. Johnson, 5. Boyd Notes: I don't think JK is going to take 4 CB for his final 23 because of Cameron and Edu. I don't think Parkhurst AND Evans will make the final 23, is either one or the other, same thing for Williams and Beckerman. I believe Edu is a shoe in because of his versatility at playing more than one position. I believe Boyd will edge out Wondo for the final 4th forward spot for the final 23 because of Johannsson. EJ can also be the missing midfield speedster that we lack.
