It is if the boy is into contraband the way his day was. Onandi got arrested for crack trafficking while playing in England (later cleared) and was busted for pot in Jamaica. What one has to do to actually get cited for ganja in Jamaica is beyond me.

    BTW, Onandi is only 39.

Yes - father son combo. Something about those former KC Wizards bloodlines (already had the Bunbury's).

In Jamaica it's both a felony and rude to possess with no intent to share.

Which means he was a little shy of his 20th birthday when Damion was born.

Of course if we're talking close father/son connections, we should go no farther than the Arce duo. Fernando, Sr. was just past 16.5 years of age when Fernando, Jr. was born.

To bring this back to Damion Lowe, he played at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship along with Alvas Powell of the Timbers and Andre Lewis, who is one of the five internationals to crash the MLS Combine this year.

MLS teams who have been silent so far who cold lead to more homegrown signings: New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, and in the case of Tommy Thompson, San Jose.

Larin's case is definitely down to salary, though. For instance, see

Whatever you can pry out of MLS. It helps to have leverage like an overseas offer or even just an EU passport or an agent with a track record abroad.

If you google MLS players union salaries you can see what all the players make and just look for the ones who signed GA deals and you'll see their salaries from last year.

Thanks for the reply! Just wondering if there was a true range?

Although i have not completed a data base and could be wrong, my recollection is that the range would be between $60,000 - 125,000 with a few strays in either direction. Still greater than the HG range.

I assume pre draft senior signings would be comparable to GA range?

I wonder what, if any, impact the new TV contract will have on the salary ranges.

I'm not sure of the exact sourcing of this rumor, but Timbers fans seem to think that Portland will announce the signing of Bryan Gallego soon.

Yeah. This has been a foregone conclusion for over a year. But I still have yet to see any solid.

They were rumored to have thrown relatively big dollars at Charlie Davies ($200kish), but he was a special case.

    Think it's 60-120k now....

Given your connections with the program, if you haven't heard anything yet I would suggest that it's not, yet, a done deal
