Not sure where I said it would, I certainly don't have Gale on the qualifying roster as of now.

Sorry confused you and somebody else I guess. I've put Gale away until he gives me a reason to take him back again. Worked for Onyewu. Gale needs to go away for awhile and work on his game. Hopefully in a few years he'll get straightened out.

Considering our lack of CB depth. I'm not looking for him to turn into Pique by March, but I do expect him to be on the roster.

It would be fantastic news if he could turn into Bobby Burling by March.

...except that Gooch's problems weren't that he didn't know how to play D.

    Gale's are.

Long term project unless the shining light of instant epiphany strikes.

Is he even playing at Frankenfurter right now?

He's played five minutes for the reserves so far.

Well, he'll get his chance to shine (or not) in the U23 camp. We shall see...

Indeed. I'm not a big fan, but there's no harm in calling him in.

The CB positions are definitely up for grabs.

I'd almost consider bringing Omar G and Tim Ream for the experience and letting them play.

Right Back: Sheanon Williams is the best U-23 RB in MLS IMO.

    Left Back: Timothy Chandler

I think Sebastian Ibeagha has a shot here.

Gonzalez and Ream can't play for the U-23 team in qualifying, so they are not really relevant.

Who will be a left back for qualifying? Chandler won't be released .

Likely another converted player such as Valentin or Balchan

My impression is that Anthony Wallace is expected back before then, so he's another option. Speaking of Balchan, why isn't he in this camp?

Alfredo Morales can play LB if he gets released.

Good is a relative term. Is he better than Brooks, Kitchen or White? Possibly. I don't know. Certainly I think we'd want somebody more comfortable with the position if we qualify.

He'd be another out-of-position option, given that he doesn't seem to have much experience there. From what I gather, he's mostly been at right back lately, although Google Translate tells me he "can play in defensive midfield and as legal counsel." :)

He bodied Kaka, woohoo! Seriously, we can't tell much from this, other than that he didn't get abused by Real. I hope he can contribute to our program, and if so, decide to play for us.

I have. He played in an advanced fullback role against Bayern. He did a pretty good job of marking Ribery and got forward on quite a few occasions.
