They don't actually care about the women's team. They care about it in the same sense they care about the swim team. Fun to pay attention two a couple times a decade or so for the nationalistic gorging.

 

Perhaps somebody in Chicago House asked a friend in the administration to nix it, before it got noticed and publically embarassed the USSF.......The pony ain't gonna embarass nobody that ain't already embarassed, capisce?
