It's difficult to understand? Really? How about we're finally pulling out of debt, Arsene sees the light at the end of the tunnel, and after selling 4 players in 4 years to City and them winning the title, we're done with helping competitors in the EPL out! TWAT!
This. Wenger doesn't keep players against their wishes (see Cesc). RVP will leave one way or another; I just hope it's to Juve.
Strong rumors circulating that Llorente is gonna sign with Juve. The options get smaller and smaller.
Manutd offering RvP 220k a week Now, I've never hidden the fact that I am an incredibly malicious guy, so I have no trouble saying that if RvP signed for Manutd I'd love to see him pick up a career ending injury, or two . I'd rather he see out his contract and left abroad for a free next season than sell him to them.
Yeah, still hoping. . A couple of semi reliable twitters ( Ben Faithorne, Sport_trend) still strongly believe that M'Vila is a done deal and that is why Arsene may sold Song. Will see...
That may be blasphemy for some on this Board, however, if MU offers £ 25 M for RVP, I believe it would be foolish not to accept it. To say no, Arsene would be guilty of management malpractice IMO. Particularly if there is no other offer on the table and RVP refuses to extend his contract. Would love to hear some thoughts on that.
Indeed he would be guilty of management malpractice--- If he handed the title to Sir Red Nose on a plate by selling him our best player.
So RVP @ MU would guaranteed them the title? I don't see it happening. RVP is not even their most pressing need. In addition, if there is anything close to a guarantee, it is that he may be injured during the season and miss a big chunk of it. Finally, leaving £ 25 M on the table and keep a disgruntled ex captain at the club so he can poison the locker room? That would be malpractice in my book
Yeah, it's just too risky. In an ideal world, we sell him for a good price to Man U, reinvest that money in more depth/quality and RVP's chocolate leg breaks in mid-October ending his season. I just don't think we can risk him replicating this past season with one of our direct rivals though. The additions we've made to the squad this summer are VERY good. Why jeopardize title contention by strengthening Man U? We can't keep selling our best players every summer. Enough is enough.
Not surprised we are after him. I have been monitoring him as well (mainly with Korea though) and he seems like a good EPL type player. Whether he can make it at Arsenal is another question. My problem though is that he is a central midfielder. Not known for defending but more known for his vision and cutting edge. Do we need him then? We are compact in this area and to add another is unnecessary.
he's a very tidy player who likes to play deep playmaker but isn't afraid to get stuck in at all. he's got a commanding presence and is known for his set pieces as well as corners. he is set to play against Japan this coming Friday. Winning bronze is everything for him. It will win him exemption from military draft.
