You have to stick to beating expansion clubs Philly. The established clubs will run you off the pitch.

let people talk... i am confident we will be a competetive team.
dont think the impact are going to be the next white caps, or tfc.

we have people who really know and care about soccer running this team:)

Who are you? I was complaining about a couple others. Two in a row claiming we're gonna suck. Ok, if it doesn't escalate, whatever.

I think we need to forget about these guys. Nobody is coming. A better idea would be some good second division players or maybe some bench players from Europe/South America. Give them a good contract to lure them here.

    Like in the Rivas category.

Agree 100%. The Big names were more for exposure anyways.
Exactly like you said, a couple of key guys (RIvas Catrgory) will be better than 1 big player that i only here for cashole$$$$$$$

The issue with the big names is not the salary. Its the fact that they wont make appearance money like they would in much bigger markets. They get paid a ton of money in Asia and the Middle East just for showing up somewhere. Where they going to go here?? Carrefour Laval? lol

I do not see why ADP does not want to play in Montreal. He plays in Torino which is Cleveland in Italian. I think Montreal wouild be a step up.

I love Vancouver because I am from the west coast. Culturally and historically speaking though Montreal is the best city in my opinion in Canada.

Those numbers will increase and obviously with a superstar even more so, many people are not interested/happy in the Big Zero situation.

I really hope it's because we're an expansion team that no one want to come here right?

    Right?

Theres an entire contingency of Italian players there now. With many more to come. Sun, beach, nice restaurants, hotels clubs, No tax, high wages, massive appearance fees, everything free, above the law royal treatment.... What else can they want.

What does religion have to do with it?

I don't disagree with ANYTHING you said, except religion having nothing to do with it. Religion has nothing to do with it in the Americas, Europe and many other places, but in the middle east, religion has EVERYTHING to do with it. Be it a crucifix on a necklace or bracelet, a t-shirt with a cross or a tattoo with the face of Jesus......

Trust me they don't get above the law royal treatment. I've been to that part of the world many times on business, it is very difficult to practice your faith there. Now perhaps I'm just assuming Luca Toni is religious, he may very well be the biggest atheist in the world, but I'm going to go with what is probably more reasonable...he has some sort of christian-based religious belief and that's frowned upon there.

I've been to UAE and it's far from intolerant of Christians, especially Dubai. The Muslims in the GCC obviously don't offer the same tolerance the West offers them. But if your going to another country (to get paid) you need to obey the laws of the land.

He would have rotted in jail for a long time if not for his footballer status.

    joey being coy on twitter...

Good news for Montreal Impact fans this morning. Owner Joey Saputo, who was on a trip to Europe in search of a designated player tweeted the following just hours ago: “We may have found our guy.”

Good contacts make for great meetings, thanks to VV and GP we may have found our guy.
