Kotor in Montenegro. Did a 17 day cruise of the Eastern Med in August this year and even though we stopped at Venice, Dubrovnik etc this was the highlight for me. The bay of Kotor was once known as Europe's southernmost fjord.
Construction eng and management was the degree I went for. Currently working as a steel design engineer, but in short term want to get into renewables, I guess thats where money and work is.....Long term I want to make enough money now, travel and find somewhere beautiful and affordable to live, probably in mainland Europe and run my own metal art business. Thats my dream, will let you know in 40 years how it pans out lol
Any kind of engineering work you'll get seriously paid in Norway. Average salary here is €64k. I get your thing about moving around. When I'm 50 I'm selling my house and moving to the beach somewhere. I'll get €2m for my house in 12 years. In Brazil or somewhere you can get a ********ing castle for that kind of money. Maybe I'll move to Turin.
I second this. Was there on my honeymoon. Stayed in Perast, but spent a day in Kotor. The entire bay is breathtaking.
Istanbul is a great city. Big, intensive, connects 2 continents, historically great and once you are seeing the bosphorus from a boat it's superfuntime.
I actually came on here to say Isfahan, surprised lots of people already said it including the person who started the thread!
