nice one pete
should have added, "there is....."
while I can not sympathise that much with Mellis for making such a stupid mistake, coupled with a few other incidents which is why he was let go and Billy given another chance, I really do hope the lad lands on his feet somewhere because he does have the talent and ability
I always thought he stood a good chance of breaking into our squad with his combination of athletic and technical ability but sadly he seemed to get in his own way quite often. This story has been repeated all too often with players who are very talented at a young age and are either
- are not given the correct guidance as younger players to challenge themselves or to hold themselves accountable
- or just for whatever reason do not develop on track
Mellis appears to have fallen into the first grouping
Ake is captaining the U17's tonight
Ressies draw 2-2
Chalobah limped out with an injury
youngsters draw 0-0 with Villa this morning
sounds like Sam Walker had a good game today
Wondered why I hadn't been getting any emails about thread action. New thread!
makes a lot of sense
which is why the FA will find a way to not let it happen

Utd up 0-1 (2-2agg) in the 37' off a deflected shot that confuses Blackman, against the run of play
Feruz yet to exert any kind of influence, Piazon looking real good with Nditi down the left
went to lunch... but Piazon got us the equalizer after being expertly set-up by Islam and we're through
Good game too, really strong crop of young players (Piazon, Feruz, Chalobah, Ake, Kane, etc)
very pleased for the lads
Blackburn in the final will not be easy
loan update. Really worth mentioning what a fine job Juni does with these. I tried doing this for a while and it can really be exhausting.
the put together part alone itself is too much exhausting, not to mention the researches Juni does for those who are out far away.
