I would rank him 11-20, hes been successful at every level hes played at, but it remains to be seen whether he will be a star. It does say alot when there is a good possiblity he'll be promoted to the first team, which happens to be a top five club in the world, and possibly the best team right now. I guess we'll see what happens when he gets his passport.

He doesn't understand it, but he would really be better off staying with the second team or playing in La Liga for a lesser squad for a year.

He's not yet good enough to be a regular starter for Barcelona (if he is, then he should be the dominant player for Israel NT already), and sitting on the bench at the age of 17 is really, really bad for a young kid.

The kid needs to play and he needs confidence while playing against opponents he can dominate. I say he should stick in Barcelona B until the end of the year, and then go to a Dutch team (they play young guys more than others) for a season. After that, he should return to Barcelona some time in 2011 and play as one of their top guys on the top team.

Otherwise, his progress would be harmed.

It's impossible to say where he's ranked among the best of his age.

Didn't Bojan and Dos Santos make appearances for Barca at the same age? I would hope Assulin turns out better than Dos Santos at least. Maybe if Barca wrap up the title a few weeks early they will give him a shot on the first team?

I agree that he should spend a year at a lower club or a Dutch team on loan, it seems to be doing well for Sahar so far. Although, I think he should be careful not to leave Barcelona too quickly. Again look what happened to Dos Santos. As long as he avoids the Premier League he should be fine. You shouldn't go to the EPL unless you are already proven like Benayoun or it will kill your career.
