There is a park called ave j park in Brooklyn. The area is all Hatians. I have a 38 year old son. When he was 9 I would take him to that park to play street football. He played for BW Gotshee I played for sporting club

We were the only white people at the field. They welcomed us both to play with them. Great people they came from good family back rounds. Remember when the tried to leave hati. Our government said they were all dope dealers?had to be rounded up. That was an fing lie. We should have taken them all in.

This is a microcosm for so many human rights issues. Once you actually get to know the individuals involved, it becomes impossible to continue to dehumanize them.

That's true it is hard to hate people you played soccer with or have coached very hard.

Yes, she did it all completely independent from the gvt. She's a regular Jane Galt, she is.

Not to mention government funded the airport that he worked at and funded the maintenance on the road where Nick's baby girl built her house. Not only that, the inspected the house during construction to make sure the contractor built it to code and reviewed it prior to construction to ensure it was designed to building/fire/life-safety

Thank God. I'd probably be ignorant, overweight and unemployed. And worst of all, white.

Five pages and nobody can name a decent country that follows U.S. conservative principles, with the possible exception of Hong Kong.

Which proves what? China appears to be doing well, lets emulate them. The Russians seem to be keeping their head above water, let's take a look at what they have.

They do have a flat tax, the governemt works had and hand with the oil firms and I hear the oil companies do not have to deal with EPA style job killing rules.

China is still a very, very poor country. Not sure why you think this.

The best guide to Nieuw Breuklein out there:

It’s time once again to remind you try-hard North Brooklyn frauds who are just passing through and leaving high rents in your wake that you are not permitted to cross the red line. You’ve pioneered far enough. I love South Brooklyn and I will not let you f*ck it up with a billion overpriced coffee shops, organic restaurants, smug bars, and boutiques. I would rather stare at a Mexican standing on a corner looking for work, an old Chinese lady walking around with a mask collecting cans or selling DVD’s, an Orthodox Jewish guy with a bird’s nest on his head, or a couple of guidos showing off their fake tans than to look at you lanky, bearded, kazoo-voiced, fly-over state, effeminate hipster sh*trags. KEEP THE F*CK OUT!

Impossible that's all sociolistic, quazi-commy crap that would clearly ruin the country's economy and violate some obscure Bible reference taken completely out of context. And it'd help some of the following: poor, gays, non-whites and/or baby killers.

This is America. We don't help out our fellow man. Just ourselves (by that I mean rich white folk)

How about Iran? They lead with their religion, are totally militaristic, the key industry is oil exploitation. They have a 25% flat tax on corporations, and there is no capital gains tax. And here are the deal sealers:they hate homosexuals, abortion is very much restricted, and they have no pesky EPA to take care of air and water quality.

Not quite 9-9-9, but seems plausible that Iran = US Conservatopia.

Teachers aren't the problem. NCLB is. And teachers aren't hard to get rid of. Just keep treating tem like overworked, underpaid slime who are responsible for all childrens' problems and they'll keep on quitting in droves.

That U.S. conservative principles fail. They are the equivalent of the guy who said the apocalypse was coming ... it was a belief system, it was tested in the real world, and it was a fail.

Whereas a bunch of liberal/socialist countries are a great place to live, and by the way their economies are outperforming ours too.

I mean this one is easy, it's a runaway.

Does this defender of all things Brooklyn realize that

    1) His line goes from southeast to northwest
    2) Up until the real estate agents got to it Red Hook, Carrol Gardens, Guwanus and Park Slope were called South Brooklyn.

Can't blame him. Good thing that they are afraid of anything east of 9th Avenue.
