Apparently, Megan Rapinoe to the Seattle Sounders. Veronica Perez, too. Seattle is starting to look in part like a home for West/Northwest college players, which makes me very happy. I've always thought that is the way to go.

As I expected, Stephanie Cox has joined the Sounders Women. Their roster is starting to look like the USWNT.

Are you saying that because the Maryland Capitols keep trying to recruit them via Twitter?

I noticed that, too, but it doesn't seem to have been very successful as they've announced their 2012 squad, and it doesn't include any recent WPSers:

(Emily Janss is the only former pro, and she last played for the Freedom in 2009.)

Meanwhile, I've heard rumors - well, a rumor - that the DCU Women have signed Becky Sauerbrunn.

On the Nadeshiko Japan thread it's been mentioned that, after Sky Blue FC tour in Japan from about a month ago, former WPS players Rebecca Moros and Beverly Goebel officially signed for INAC Kobe Leonessa and should join the club during this month (first turn on Nadeshiko L-League has been played on sunday, and INAC won 7-0 vs newly promoted Speranza FC Osaka Takatsuki).

According to her Twitter feed, Davis has been fired by her team for the effrontery of complaining that she hasn't been paid in over a month.

Wildcats Add U.S. National Team Midfielder Yael Averbuch (April 25)

At the conclusion of the 2012 WPS season, Averbuch headed overseas to Russia and played with FC Rossiyanka.

Casey Nogueira is playing for FC Dallas, a WPSL team. The only other name familiar to me on the roster was Kerri Hanks.

Any idea whether Natasha Kai is playing this year and, if so, where? A guy at the Breakers-Charge match asked me that last night, and I had no idea.

I see at FC Dallas WPSL that a Jennifer Grubb is the assistant coach. Is this the same Jen Grubb that played at Notre Dame in the late 1990's and later played for Washington Freedom when they won the WUSA Championship?

The Washington Freed Jen Grubb was is one of my favorite women players ever. She was solid in the back, had excellent vision of the field and was tough as nails.

It's a shame April Heinrichs didn't see fit to give her a REAL shot at the USWNT. She was in and out of a few camps but never seemed to fit into the National Team's coaching scheme.

If Rand Waldrum ever leaves Notre Dame, I would have no problems if Jen Grubb took over as Head Coach of her Alma Mater.
