i don't know what that was (it's not coming up anymore), but there's an mls cup scarf with like 8 hours left on it that's currently at $160. $160!!! ... for a scarf! insanity.

I emailed them at the beginning of the season telling them they had it listed incorrectly. I see that went straight to their trash bin.

 

The Bobbleheads will probably run you $50. Awesome wives? They're harder to come by, and just a little more expensive.

You just know there's a schmuck out there who'll see that and go "wow, that'll look great next to my scarf rack!"

 

At some point, I think the branding gurus at sporting could object. $129 for THAT is pretty nuts.

Any idea when jerseys with two stars will be available? I really want to buy an authentic jersey, but the two star variety would be worth waiting for.

Got my toque and scarf from RallyHouse today.

The scarf looks sweet, unfortunately the team badge is sublimated on. To be honest, I'd prefer it without the sublimated crest. If you don't know who the champion of MLS Cup 2013 was, that's your problem. I guess I'll hang it on the wall - I'm not going to risk damaging the sublimation by wearing it.

The hat, on the other hand, is going to get some good use.

A little help with "sublimate," please?

 

Well, it starts as a gas, and then through the process of sublimation, suddenly appears as a solid. I think it involves thaumaturgy.

 

Thaumaturgy? No way. It's straight-up alchemy.

(Sublimation is kind of like screen printing on lots and lots of steroids. Or, alchemy.)

 

When they melt a logo on a t-shirt. That's sublimation. It feels kinda rubbery. You'll know it when you see it.

 

Sporting Style is having a pretty good close out sale going on bought last year's secondary replica for $30, and some other stuff for good prices.
