    51-31. :)

Mark Jackson became just the third coach in franchise history (Don Nelson and Al Attles being the other two) to win +50 games in a season with the Golden State Warriors' regular season finale win at the Denver Nuggets. :D

Next up: the W's will open the playoffs at the Los Angeles Clippers in an early-afternoon game on ABC HD on Saturday.

That hyperbole is not entirely accurate. That site reportedly looks into a yacht club and marina. So it's not the terrible view the SFGate amateur writer makes it out to be.

But no view of the Bay Bridge as the team's logo would indicate. :(

Well it's not like they've ever had a view of any bay area bridges, yet both the Golden Gate and now Bay Bridge have been logos. That and the current logo features the self supporting suspension bridge portion of the Bay Bridge recently finished late and way over budget, not the classic twin suspension bridges that make up the SF side of the Bay Bridge.

After all that, would it have been better for them to simply stay in Oakland?

No. The Coliseum site is a pit, and all 3 teams know it which is why none of them have committed to Oakland's as yet unfunded and unfeasible Coliseum City project. The Raiders are probably only a few months from pulling out and moving to Santa Clara or LA, the Warriors are now all but gone. It's only the A's that seem to be stuck in Oakland shit smelling foulness of a stadium indefinitely.

There's far more money and success to be had elsewhere which is why the Warriors are so dedicated to moving to that part of San Francisco to try and capture some of the magic that the Giants inexplicably nabbed.

But to put a soccer slant on this news, the fact the land alone likely cost the Warriors more than $250 million should put the kibosh on any delusions that NASL fans have that San Francisco will be getting a team in that minor league any time soon.

It ain't pretty now, but neither was the area around PacBell. Bit of a different story now. One hopes the two teams can work out traffic if both are playing at the same time.

If the design is anything like their previous design, you'll actually be able to see the outside from the inside.

My point was that nobody goes to a basketball game for the view outside.

Well in this case I think they're setting it up so that they can in part. At least that's the idea behind the last design.

From the concourse, not the seats, right? In other words, who cares? (the same idiots who will be wowed when seeing the field from the concourse at the Quakes stadium)

No the design had views from inside the seating bowl if I'm not mistaken.

Also what's wrong with views from the concourse during games? If it means you can still see the game while getting a beer I'm all for it. Means you don't have to make a made rush for the concessions during half time or risk missing the game.

If so that's an impressive feat of engineering, or a waste of seating space.

What's wrong is when it comes at the expense of the stadium atmosphere, such as a stupid flat standing supporters terrace that is going to be close to empty or else inhabited by silent, craft brew sipping, cardigan wearing, MBA education, "fans". As for getting a beer in the middle of a game:
