I'm going to Rome very soon and I would like to at least do a little browsing for some new outdoor soccer shoes. I hear Pantofola d'Oro are the way to go... BUT, I have no idea where to go to buy soccer shoes (or jerseys, but mostly shoes). Could someone give me some info on shops in town (if possible near where i'm staying, which will not be far from the Pantheon). Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

The best places to buy soccer gear in Italy are the Intersport stores (at least from my experiences).

Here's a list of the ones in Rome:

You should go to any one called Cisalfa Sport. I went to one of them near the Vatican and they had excellent selection of all brands and many jerseys as well.

If you want to go by specific brands, Adidas and Nike are close to each other on Via Del Corso (main shopping street) and have good soccer selections.

And If you want to know how to get their just print out the addresses and ask the people at the desk at the hotel you are staying at.

I wouldn't go to the touristy places...they're A LOT more expensive. The prices in Rome are going to be very, very costly.
