We have recently been seeing a rash of posters who think this forum is a dandy place to bash on American soccer, whether it be our deficiencies on the field, our lack of "football culture", or what have you. This forum is not "World Rivalries." The standard of discussion needs to be more constructive and focused on the sport in the United States. That doesn't mean blind jingoism; nor does it mean that we don't recognize that the sport has a long way to go here. But the focus is on the sport in the USA, and the standards for what consitutes trolling, for example, are calibrated accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.
Just a note--this is still in effect. I don't mod with a heavy hand, but just because I'm speaking softly doesn't mean I don't have a big stick just in case.
Thanks for that clarification, though of course you are not going to censor healthy debate, I'm certain.
Hi @bigredfutbol -- would this be a good place to start a thread about CONIFA and other non-FIFA team programs in the USA? (Disclosure: I volunteer with CONIFA.)
Yes it would, and I apologize for not seeing this earlier. I had a weird weekend and then it just kinda missed my attention.
