Hi guys, and didn't know where to post this, so I did it here, I hope you don't mind. Which is the best site to watch English Premier League live commentary and stats? Besides sky sports.
Here is my serious answer to the "what team should I support" question: Watch the Premiere League regularly and then let your connection to a particular team evolve organically. And if you live in the US or Canada, don't miss out on the live soccer experience. Chances are, you have a club nearby in one of the leagues linked below. Get out there and support your own local team... http://pdl.uslsoccer.com http://www.npsl.info http://uslpro.uslsoccer.com http://www.nasl.com http://www.mlssoccer.com

I'm getting close to picking a team. Some of my friends like Hotspur. I kind of like Arsenal. Arsenal is on tv a lot and I like the kits. I haven't made my final decision yet. What can y'all tell me about Arsenal. Thanks.
As far as England goes, I'm a Newcastle guy - but this Arsenal themed flick is a lot of fun: http://www.amazon.com/Fever-Pitch-Colin-Firth/dp/B007VHCJR2/ Based on a book written by a rabid Gunners fan (then remade in the US as a Farrelly bros movie about the Red Sox.) On the serious side, here is a YouTube documentary:
Historically one of the biggest clubs (if not biggest) in London. Originally based around Woolwhich Arsenal in South East London but have been in North London since the 1890's (I believe). Have always been one of the bigger more successful clubs in English football. I believe they are one of the only clubs to never be relegated. Historically have had a reputation for being solid defensively and very pragmatic in attack. 1-0 to the Arsenal was a common chant. But since Wenger took over in the mid-90's have played a more expansive offensive game. Is a club that claims to have a philosophy in terms of the way they play (attacking free flowing) and how they spend money (live within their means) which Gooners are happy to remind you of any chance they get. Generally they are not a hooligan club. Their old ground of Highbury was referred to as the Library, and I have heard Arsenal supporters complain that the Emirates is even quieter. But apparently it has a lot of luxury boxes and really good food. Also is beginning to supply the club with some money (see Oztil deal). Spurs is their biggest rival and 4th place their favorite trophy. Think that's it.
I live in IN, USA and I support Chelsea. They have my favorite player (Hazard) have nice jerseys, and a history. Also they're on TV quite a bit and I went to see them play in Indianapolis last year. IT WAS AWESOME.
I think if I had no ties anywhere in England or Wales, I would probably support whoever featured the most skilled defenders, because defense is my favorite position. Or maybe it would just become a question of who plays the style I like best. And I would also be more apt to choose an underdog.
Southampton. Great defense, best young LB in the world (Luke Shaw) young good talent. Top 8 team in the premier league.
I heavily and actively support Bayern, Liverpool, AC Milan, Barcelona, Schalke 04, United - both Newcastle and Manchester, Real Madrid, Juve and as of late, PSG. I also like Grasshoppers...and by "Grasshoppers", I mean the cocktail with Crème de menthe.
How does this make sense? Bayern AND Schalke? Newcastle AND Manchester?! Madrid AND Barcelona??! That's just wrong. "Support" - I don't think it means what you think it means.
I forgot to mention Galatasaray, Inter, Werder Bremen, Celtic, PSV, Dynamo Kiev, Besikta, Liga de Quito, Ajax and Rangers. And "support" may be the wrong word as I don't give them any of my money. I'm actually more "fanatical" about them.
Either your taking the piss (if so I'm sorry my sarcasm meter is off) or you support nobody. I will accused of being a snob but I don't care, there are certain teams that you can't "support" both. If you claim to support both then you support neither. Liverpool-United is one of those. Call it tribalism call it what ever you want but part of supporting Liverpool is disliking (hating) United. And based on the songs I hear at Old Trafford (even when we aren't playing) the feeling is more than mutual.
