I just finished my first season, took Hannover 96 to a 8th-placed finish and a German Cup victory!

football manager game is an online football management game. After registration you get your own club to manage; you are the manager who decides on training and trading players, creating tactics, and setting up your squad. It's not easy as you compete with over 50,000 other users, not computer bots :) ... but maybe you prefer to play offline with codes, so it's not for you

I just finished my second season; I took the Hammers to 3rd place in my 1st season & then I took the 'Pool to fifth (IIRC) in my 2nd season. I want to sign on as the Toon's manager in my 3rd season since that's my favourite club.

    Alright lads,

We are looking for managers to play our online football game called ssl, it’s very much like a pc game, but played online with real people oh and before you ask it’s free!!

We have people from all over the world playing, but currently have 3 vacancies that need filling.

Click on the link, and if you like what you see then send an application form in on the bottom of the page & away you go!

It’s very straight forward and easy to play once you get used to it.

Give it a go, it’s a good laugh!

    http://www.ssl2001.ukhome.net/

    Cheers & good luck,
    Gareth

I'm currently managing Manchester United in the "FootyGods" League. My team and three others (Chelsea, Arsenal, and another club) are tied with 16 points in second place. Blackburn Rovers are in first with 19 points. I have just lost to Arsenal 6-0 and I've fixed a lot of problems as I haven't been on for almost a week. Now should be good.

[Hagibest, do you play on National Team Manager? I think that it's designed and hosted by the same company since they seem to do a lot of cross-promotions between the two sites.]

Yeah, I've been playing it for a while, even though I always forget to keep going back on it :p

It's ok but it's just not for me. OFM is better, imo. :)

[True, the gameplay seems to be better on OFM. I just like the shorter "turnaround" time, etc. of the international tourneys on NTM. It would be better if they gave you some kind of calling up caps & squads option(s) on NTM. Maybe a NT manager career "campaign" would be a good option as well.

How did your last match w/Utd. go on OFM?]

    I beat Chelsea 2-0! :)

    Here's the brief match report:

[Nice result for your OFM Utd. side, Hagibest. I got pegged w/Wolves for my current season & I'm getting my arse handed to me on a nearly weeekly basis. ;)]

    LOL

    I'm sure you'll be fine m8.

I just won again, 2-0 vs. Fulham (and we were playing away!), goals from Gary Neville (as much as I hate him) and Valencia.

Nani got injured though, and was replaced by Valencia in the 19th minute of the match. Park, Gibson, and Berbatov were all booked with yellow cards, but luckily, no players were sent off (except Nani, who was injured).

Man of the Match: Jonny Evans, a young defender (Man Utd).

We are now tied with Bolton and Arsenal in second place with 26 points (though we have the lowest goal difference of the three). Blackburn is in first place with 28 points. :)

[I'm fine w/my choice of managing my OFM Wolves side. I didn't want to wait forever to get in a league & the challenge of managing a struggling team keeps me on my toes in the game. Congrats on your OFM Utd. team defeating Fulham, Hagibest.]

    Thanks. :)

    Guess what?

I won again 3-1 at home vs. Liverpool, two of my players were injured (Gibson and Vidic).

Goals from O'Shea and Berbatov (2 goals from him). Glen Johnson scored for Liverpool. ;)

I just won 4-0 vs. the Wolves (playing away, iirc)!
Goals from Rooney (hat-trick; 3) and Berbatov (1).

I'm now tied in first place with Blackburn, who are still undefeated but drew their last match 1-1 (we both have 32 points, but he has a better GD :-\ ).

Next match is away against Stoke City, I made a lot of changes in my squad, transfers, and more, should be a good one! :)

[Keep up the good work, mate! Does your league always seem to have mostly crap defenders available on the transfer list?

Btw, my OTM Wolves side beat Fulham 4-0 in my biggest win of the year so far. Ik how to strengthen my side, but we can't seem to generate revenue fast enough & I can't sell of enough players w/o weakening the squad overall.

In the good news dept.: on NTM my E. Germ. side took 3rd pl. in the '76 Euros.]
