I am aware Julieta Venegas is from T.J..

    Actually i prefer:

Rosarito (horny spring break chicks) :D
Puerto Nuevo (cheap yet tasty lobster and great homemade flour tortillas)
    Ensenada (rustic living)
and anywhere heading farther down south.

LOL!, I meant the Ska band named Tijuana No, where Venegas showed her revelde ways got her first shot and then later to do what every "music artist" does when they want to retire early.

Pobre de ti was the song that took them all over Mexico.

Damn me and these old ass threads but..

Julieta Venegas was NOT in Tijuana No.

She just co-wrote Pobre de Ti with Luis (who just died recently).

She was a part of the TJ underground, but not in the band.

    Compadres, I guess.

The ladyfriend loves it.. eh. It's alright.

Her version of "Jaula de Oro" is still the shizzle.

And yes, "Pobre de Ti" is an all-time fav.

I like all kinds of musics.

skank, pogo, jitterbug, lindy hop, twist, the billy idol fist pump, the mexican slow-mo skank immortalized by any drunken mexican at a botellita de jerez show circa 1988.

I tend to go for the mexican slow-mo as it suits my attitude just fine.

Knock 'em back like it ain't no thing, then proceed to "dance" drunker than sh!t with one fist up and one fist down.

Think Pee Wee's "Tequila" dance if he were angry.
