I had a couple of Brahmas (Brasilian beer) today and they are not at all great. They are missing that "kick" and taste a bit sour at the end. This brings up my point, I am quite loyal to Cusqueña. In my opinion the best Peruvian beer out there. What about you guys?
I havent had a Cristal in a while but I did when Garcia came. I was also a fan of Cusquena, but I'm gonna have to say Cristal has more of a kick to it. Good stuff, the dark Cristal even more. So brahma sucks huh, they better stick to bundas
Pilsen has improved A LOT. My vote goes to them right now. Cuzquena had its golden years. It was the best for a good while during the late 90s and early 2000's. No one beat them, but I've heard their quality has declined a lot lately. Cristal is the safe bet as its been around for a while and it's the most famous one. Arequipena? I never tried that beer. Not sure if it still exists. Maybe in the local areas around Arequipa and such.
Yay! Cusquena and Cristal dukin' it out at the top! Let's wait for the heavy-hitters to come through aka Borracho
i have to agree with you, compadre. pilsen is my favorite right now and i drink all of them periodically, thanks to my beloved liquor store owners around the way. and i'm a fan of the the dark cuzquena, which me and garcia had a few weeks back....
Pilsen Negra was absolutely amazing. Never had such a great dark beer. Had it once and never again Still in the hunt. Been looking for it ever since.
Yeah, It was great. It was such a long ass time ago that I don't know if they keep making it. It was yummy indeed.
In Peru also? It was just called Pilsen Negra. Good to see that I didn't dream this Pilsen Negra thing. It was too good to be true at the time! I thought I was dreaming
