He's wearing the #9 shirt. Every Galaxy player to wear that shirt has always been a disappointment.

I remember Jurgen Klinsmann yelling at Memo Gonzales when they where both playing vs the US U-23's last year at the HDC training pitch. Jurgen was yellling "Memo!!!!, Memo!!!!! hold the ball Memo!!!! stop playing like a girl have some confidence Memo!!!! Come on Memo what is wrong with you!!! And Juergen was right because Memo was playing like a big soft **********.

Memo sleep-walks through every minute of PT he gets. He does the same thing for Billy McNichol at the reserve matches. He did the same thing when Sigi put him on the field. This one is not a Sampson issue. This has got to be the biggest personnel boner Sigi ever made.

He is turning into a ware-wolf. Nothing to worry about though.

You guys are pretty harsh on poor little Memo. Certainly he was not ready for the step up.

But I think DCU was saying all the same things about Tino a year or two ago. He seems to have finally adjusted. Is it possible Memo may eventually wake up?

If he plays for the Timbers, you can nickname him "Balsa" - as in very soft wood.

Naldo can run in a straight line really, really fast.

There, I found something positive for us to say about Naldo.

It's interesting to read posts from 'outsiders' (best word for it I guess) who are puzzled by the failure of Memo to appear in Galaxy games. I've read more than one post that can't accept that Memo is the reason why Memo is not playing. It's like it's inconceivable to these folks that someone with his talent isn't willing to use it. Basically, I suspect that Memo is one of those hyped youth players that is a bust at the pro level. The kid simply doesn't have the internal drive...all the talent in the world...but comes up short on motivation, determination, and any other "-ation" one could think of. He's like Landon on an off day, but his 'off day' is every day.
