What is this in response to?
My post was once again removed entirely by internet policeman. Kind of reminds me of Goerge Orwell's 1984. You have the party members, and then you have the workers. The workers, as the green letters screen names on here, have primary responsibility to edit, alter, delete, change, add writtings and opinions to reflect the party member's views.

Anyway, offer still stands for game day. If you smell Brasilian steak in the air, and see the dark Brasilian beauties dancing to the Samba beat, come on over and have a Chopp on me.

Internet policeman deleted entire post as it was a response to a poster defending another internet policeman.
So I take it your above response is to the following portion of the deleted post:

"Having said that, US does have a chance to beat Brasil. In futebol, there is always a chance that anything can happen. US's goal is going to be bombarded, and possession time is going to be limited. If Tim Howard who I consider one of the best goalies in the world today shuts down the goal, (as did Kasey Keller in 1998 in the last USA win against Brasil), and US uses it's speed of counter attack and genius finishing of Dempsey/Donovan, (as did the first two goals of the last Confeds final), then yes, US has a chance to beat Brasil."

    Good luck!

YES, FIFA rankings absolutely mean something. They determine the heads of groups in the various regional national tournaments, FIFA rankings determine the heads of group in the World Cup, and FIFA rankings are a standard using precise point mechanism as voted by the FIFA member nations based on tournament results as well as other things, as to the current status of a National Team, but yeh you're right, staff coaches of the national teams doesn't "pay any attention to them." Maybe you and your neighborhood/internet budies pays no attention to them, but I can assure you that any professional involved in national futebol, pays very close attention to FIFA rankings.

I didn't go crazy on the internet policeman. I told him he had no credibility stating that Argentina is better than Brasil right now which was in response to his statement that I had no credibility comparing a certain Chelsea player to Neymar. And yes it is soooo unbeleivable to make such a bold statement. Argentina has had mediocre results in the WC qualifiers which included a loss to Venezuela (THAT'S VENEZUELA), and a tie at home to Bolivia. And don't throw in bullshit friendly games to prove your point on Argentina's status. It is the tournaments that matter. Further, Argie's FIFA rankings are about 3- 4 notches below Brasil. Yeh yeh I know, nobody carse about FIFA rankings.

And why do you keep repeating yourself that Brasil is
nowhere near the top? I already stated Brasil's current status and mediocre results and you keep coming back with the same closure that Brasil is no good. And If you think that Brasil is not a favorate to win the Copa Do Mundo of 2014, then buddy, you are way out of touch with reality (internet policeman, is it ok to say this?).

One good thing that will come out of it is that Mano Menenzes will be fired and a good coach can replace him in time to get ready for the confederation and world cups

No, they really don't. FIFA rankings have been a running joke for years already, especially when they were putting the US and Mexico in higher positions simply because they won and played in meaningless competitions like the Gold Cup.

Ohh you can assure me? Ohh yeah I definitely believe you now.

Brasil sucked ass in the Copa America and Neymar was crap. Argentina lost one game and tied another so far in the WCQ but they still have same maount of points as Uruguay who are first and Uruguay is much better than Brazil is right now.

So no, it's not even close to a bold statement. Brazil are playing they weakest they have in years.

    Nope nobody does.

Great, now this loon is putting words in my mouth. When did I say they weren't one of the favorites? They obviously are since it's in Brazil. When did I say Brazil is no good? Jesus christ.

I said they were nowhere near the top. Spain, Germany, Holland and clearly ahead of them and they aren't even the best team in SOuth America right now, that goes to Uruguay.

But yeah your entire argument is about the Fifa rankings.

Can't debate with you in here my friend.
Moderators on my ass about rivalry issues.
Further, US Men's forum mods are biased and most cases racists, and censoring all posts.
And next time you call me a "loon", I'll come kick your ass.

Talk to me on Messi forum or Americas.

Elo ratings are pretty decent. USA ranked 30 but moving up. Hopefully the team is better than 24th by August.

What I am looking for in the way of progress is for the US to compete with Brazil. The US getting totally dominated, getting miracle plays from the goalkeeper, and getting the incredible/fortunate goal on the way to a win would not really be progress.

The US competed well with Italy in Italy. Hopefully the trend can continue. Victories against two World Cup teams in the same year with one victory occurring in the opponent's country would be incredible.
