I don't think I need to apologize, I did give a reason for my guess. I did not mean any disrespect. I seek an answer and apparently there is no one on this board that knows the answer. Understand that I admire them, I see them at every game, 5-10 of them always chanting & jumping, it takes a lot of commitment to do so.

You yourself was told by someone that "the Little Drummer boy" was not a member of the Galaxians, what if YOU were wrong? and what if that was insulting to Galaxians & the Drummer boy himself, shouldn't you apologize? I myself heard that a group of Galaxians felt more connected to Chivas when they entered the league, and that's understandable if they switch for that reason. But should I apologize if I was wrong? No, because I'm not questioning their commitment, I was only trying to find the reason why their numbers are not as it used to be.

I respect the ACB and RS for their style of support, I'm for it, I was there on Tuesday, I know what it means to have them. But why did you say that "Galaxians' idea of support is wearing green wigs and jumping. Doesn't cut it..."? If there's 500 people who wants to do that, what's wrong with it? If that's how they want to support the Galaxy, I"m fine with it.

I decided that I would be the smart one on here and actually go to their site and see what they are saying on their boards. When I got there I saw this

i think you hit the nail on the head. the galaxians seem to be stuck in 2003, they wear gold & green and cheered for ruiz while he was a member of dallas. i know there are many people attached to green & gold or teal & yellow, but 2 and a half seasons of white/blue/yellow and they haven't changed their colors.

Putting it this way makes sence, maybe its the Galaxians unwillingness to change with the galaxy. Maybe when the FO ban horns & too many drum, etc...they ban what makes the Galaxians...Galaxians. All joking aside, I hope they don't go away, everytime I look at them, they look like one single family clinging on whats left of their tradition. I still would like to hear from an x-Galaxian for some info, it seems strange that even if one decided not to be with the Galaxian, wouldn't they stay a Galaxy fan? If so, we must have someone who used to be a Galaxian? If not, then maybe what I hear is true, some of them did decide to support another team.

Not to stir the pot but when we were tail gating...last year, I guess... I went down there and offered them some free veggies and they called me gay. So maybe it's their sunny disposition that drives people away.

I don't doubt that he had the vegetables. I was the recipient of a box full of fresh carrots and squash from Forza.

P.S. Thanks again Forza!! I think that was the day he joined ACB.

P.S.S. See, it pays to be friendly to those with a box full of fresh veggies.

Bizarre. I wonder what they would have said if you walked up and offered them your meat.

    It is I, Captain Vegetable
With my carrot, and my celery
Eating crunchy vegetables is good for me
And they're good for you, so eat them too
For teeth so strong, your whole life long
Eat celery and carrots by the bunch

Three cheers for me Captain Vegetable
    Crunch Crunch Crunch!

(there are some more wonderful lyrics to this great song, but I'll spare you)

Guys, seriously. This thread should be moved to the Galaxy Supporter's Forum. And to quote the great Buckeroo Bonzai, "Don't be mean. There's no need to be mean."

Harry, how you coping with these tough times? We galaxy fans think we have it bad supporting LAG's this year, but you're supporting Boro and Galaxy. Tough couple months.

Cant stop laughing, 42 years i have supported Boro all over England and Europe, been beat up once or twice, ran for my life many times, thought i would have a try at being a gloryseeker and support the MLS superclub, just like all the wa~nkers who support Man U in England instead of there hometown club, by the time i realised the galaxy sucked, i had caught the bug and as you have probably guessed made some great new friends in the ACB, so at the moment i am getting double whammied just gotta stick with it cos at least Galaxy will rise to there rightful position one day as AMERICA'S TEAM whereas Boro can never aspire to be more than a yo yo team fighting relegation from the prem and promotion from the championship. If we beat Chivas tonight, to coin an english phrase 'I WILL BE LIKE A DOG WITH TWO DICKS' Come on you G's give these goats whats for.

Ok, that is sooooo my new avatar.

    And yes, a true story.

By the way I should have boxes and boxes of wonderful fresh organic veggies from TUTTI FRUTTI FARMS on the 17th of May. I'll hand some out to the wonderful folks at ACB.

You staying up for the match tonight? I haven't been able to catch a live game yet this season, but I'm really tempted tonight. Nothing to do tomorrow, but a 3:30AM kickoff is kinda crazy. We'll see. It would be pretty hard core to stay up till dawn to watch my team lose to our biggest rivals on a crappy feed.

They are still around,,I saw a few cards with Galaxian flags and such around 4:30 at the HDC. I watched the MLS sueno team vs the Galaxy under 18 and 16 teams 2-2 draw.

I remember the galaxians from the first season in 1996. They brought excitement and a better atmosphere to the stadium.

To me colors don't matter,,all that matters is that you support the Galaxy.

They may have cheered for Carlos Ruiz,,,but they were probably just showing appreciation for his great years he put in for the Galaxy and he pretty much brought us the 2002 MLS Cup.
