I suggest that you contact the front office and let them know how you feel. Nobody likes to be scored or judged or graded. For most people it's a deeply personal experience associated with bad memories.

If I was investing my money in this club, and they had the nerve to score my participation in their "special events" I would be upset. In fact, I'm upset and I'm not even a STH (due to distance) because this is how you piss people off so that they never come back.

Why would you give people who regularly attend matches "scores" in the 70s? It's a put-down, and there's no real reason for it. Just so more people stand in line at Autograph Alley? Please.

You are a bad, bad person.

    I hate you.

That was probably the dumbest thing they ever did not involving personnel decisions.

I guarantee you this is a Facebook/narcissistic Millenial Generation creation.

    GUARANTEE.

People of a certain age tend to CRAVE being rated and patted on the back and told how wonderful they are. That they think it applies to anywhere near everyone is...well, further evidence of that generation's self-absorption. That they completely bungled their attempted measurement to make it sound like ********ing SCHOOL is a completely different matter.

83.8, went to crewfest & all games, no vouchers used. I did get an e-mail survey that was ignored because it seemed to be the same as the ones where they were just trying to gather info such as how much you can tell them about sponsers.

    What matters: the soccer.

    What should not matter:
    • Crew Soccer Nation Events - Have you watched pre-match warm-ups from the field? Did you meet the team at Crew Fest? Have you enjoyed pre-match analysis at our Match Day Clinics with Technical Director Brian Bliss? These are all terrific ways to get to know the team and its players!
    • Season Ticket Coupons - Included in your season ticket package are coupons for each match day. Redeem these coupons to enjoy discounts on merchandise and food & beverage, as well as, express access to Autograph Alley and pre-match field level access.
    • Use Your Dedicated Service Rep - Each season ticket holder is assigned a dedicated service representative. Your service rep is Tyler Hill. Use Tyler as your personal concierge. Tyler is here to maximize your Crew season ticket experience.
    • Share Your Thoughts - We value feedback and try to provide many avenues for you to share your experience with us. Throughout the year you will receive a number of surveys, and we urge you to fill those out to help us continue you shaping our season ticket experience. You are also strongly encouraged to call or e-mail your dedicated service representative to share your experience.
    • Be In The Know - Crew e-mails contain lots of important content regarding upcoming matches and events, along with recent player happenings and other team news. Be sure to read these e-mails so you are 100% in the loop with the Crew!

I would assume they're trying to suggest to me that I should go to Crew Fest or Casino Night, but they didn't explicitly say that in the e-mail, did they?

At least we know what happened to the guy who came up with this idea after he got sacked by the CBJ....

I'm sorry. Truly. But this whole thing is so repulsively stupid on so many levels that it's impossible to grasp.

Bottom line, you bought season tix. That makes you a GREAT GREAT FAN. Period.

Who the hell sends a letter to their CUSTOMERS telling them that they just don't measure up and need to try harder to be quality fans.

What kind of jackass thought that it would be a great idea to tell PAYING CUSTOMERS that they're slackers if they don't use the coupons or go listen to Brian Bliss yank their puds?

Whoever came up with this needs to be fired. Now. Tonight.

Then McCullers needs to send out personally signed letters to every single season ticket holder apologizing for insulting their intelligence, begging their forgiveness and promising to never do anything like this again.

Seems our good old pal Will Hesmer got a good chuckle out of this to:
Always good to be the laughing stock of the league. Isn't it? Good times.

    From @tomfbowden on twitter
(profile: Director of Client Services for the Columbus Crew. Here to serve our STH...)

"Apologies to #Crew96 STH on membership score. Intention was to encourage further use of benefits outside of matches, NOT grade your fandom."

"I had hoped to encourage further benefit use by STH, clearly missed the mark. My sincere apologies."

"it was not intended to be ranking. More of an activation of benefits to encourage STH to maximize benefits available to them."

Does anyone else get the feeling they are purposely trying to piss off the most loyal supporters? Maybe they can then claim apathy and ship the team out of town?

The question on everyone's minds is: what is Bill Archer's Fan Score?

Come on, man! Your readers want to know!

When did these emails come out? Today? I have perfect attendance, but don't have an email? Does that mean I'm destined to have to repeat 2013?

Oh shit. McCullers knows my name and seat location from my #sackwarzycha powerpoints. I bet my tickets have been cancelled.

Too little too late. What a moron.

How didn't a SINGLE person in the FO think this would be taken the way it was?

This better go out on a letter just like the scorecards, otherwise, it's ********ing meaningless.

This is the kind of bullshit that makes me happy that I am not a STH anymore and makes me question whether not I want to be one in the future. I'm perfectly happy watching on the television for now.

My buddy got an 85.9. Seeing how I've used his ticket for guests on more than one occasion, my guess is that I should be higher than him once we do the forecast bias adjustments to account for his slackitude.

I do wonder if other teams are doing this (i.e. a league thing). But boy was this dumb.

My score must be so low that they didnt think Im worthy of receiving a score :) Maybe I should have never told them that the main reason I bought season tickets this year was for the US v Mexico game.

I'm not a STH anymore, so I guess I get an incomplete.

Part of me wants to applaud this guy for trying to do something innovative and show a little creativity. At least the guy was trying.

But still... did anyone just say it out loud first before committing to this? What a gaffe.

I am so very glad that I didn't renew my tickets for this season. And I'll be damned if I ever give the club another penny until there's a complete overhaul of the organization. At this point getting rid of Warzycha isn't enough; I want the entire front office fired. The whole organization is a complete joke, and if McCullers and Bowden had any dignity they'd submit their resignations no later than 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

But in the meantime, I've had a lot of fun on Facebook and Twitter... ;-)
