Not that the other one excludes hiphop but there just don't seem to be many hiphop choices on there, and I need some new suggestions for hiphop. Slum Village - Detroit Deli Akon - Trouble Both of these albums have spotty production at some points, but Slum Village has lyrical talent and Akon for some reason is still being listened to.
on the playlist as we speak: Kleptones - a night at the hip-hopera. This is the most wacked-ass album EVER... but you have to find it. It's only available online as it's one of those illegal dub things.... they took 20 queen songs, removed the lyrics, and put rap tracks over them to make out like a rock opera, but with rap. It's ridiculous, but it's GREAT! The highlight track to me is "Sniff" which is an excellent remix of "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie (yes, the same song that "Ice Ice Baby" came from).... it's outstanding in every respect.
I'm listening to Gza's 'Liquid Swords', outstanding album with solid production from Rza. Apart from the sleep inducing martial art intros this album never gets boring.
Am in the only one who's utterly unimpressed (though I never had high expectations for) The Game? I mean, he has no lyrical talent whatsoever and he makes no attempts to hide it, Dre gave this guy a chance with some good beats and nothing decent has come out of it.
--I'm with you. --Right now I'm listening to "Bad Man!" off of "Murs 3:16." I love this song. --Even though my inner music snob says no, I can't help listening to T.I. doing "Bring Em Out."
I'm listening to two classics - one old, one new: And y'all are right - The Game is unimpressive. Without the collaborators, he's stuck on BET Uncut at 3 AM.
