I can't believe this hasn't died yet, but based on what some of my right-leaning "friends" on FB have been posting THIS WEEK, for some people this "issue" is still very much alive.

And to be clear, for these people the "issue" is that the mainstream media isn't reporting this; for them, Obama's birth certificate is a settled matter--it's a fake, and he was born in Kenya.

Have you asked, just for the sake of it, if a) Ted Cruz is an American Citizen? and b) if being born to an American Citizen parent does not make Obama a Citizen too?

I bet you'd see their head explode and then they'd unfriend you.

Why should it matter where he was born, if his mother is American? That seems to be the argument the Ted Cruz supporters are using to say he's eligible to run for the presidency.

So, Cruz = OK and Obama = Nope. Yeah, I get it.

They get defensive and say that "Free Speech" means anybody who calls them out is being mean and/or unconstitutional.

Not kidding. Just yesterday, a guy I went to high school copy-and-pasted a point-by-point "argument" that Obama's BC is faked, and when another friend from HS pointed out that if any of that was really true, either the McCain or the Romney campaign probably had the resources and the connections to actually make it stick. The response. "I'm entitled to my opinion, and you Obama lovers* are so predictable the way you attack anybody who doesn't agree with you."

*Obama lovers" and an amazingly common term aimed at anybody who, say, takes offense at photoshopped images of Obama dressed as a pimp.

Dinesh D'Souza has written an entire book explaining why it "matters." Obama learned to hate America from his father, don't you get it?

(thanks to @Dr. Wankler for catching the mistake.)

But Ted Cruz's father is Cuban, so he's a closet commie sleeper, plant. Right?

Interesting. When Clinton called for a plane crash to kill Ron Brown, he took out everybody else on the plane. Nice that BHO can be more clinically precise when he offs someone for political reasons in a plane crash.

I don't think I've ever seen Deepak Chopra mistaken for Dinesh D'Souza before.

    *facepalm*

I was just reading something about Chopra--something not very complimentary--and he was on my brain.

    http://beforeitsnews.com/opinion-co...about-possible-obama-impeachment-2780178.html

Sure, it took our Muslim President years to unveil a freshly-created electronic composite of a multi-layered Adobe® PDF birth certificate facsimile that his Marxist pal – Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie – conveniently failed to locate time and time again, but I doubt the impostor’s concocted background is the reason our DNC is suddenly nervous. Besides, our Republican Party is the old Democratic Party, and they’ve been repeatedly kicking the ‘impeachment can’ down the road since Obama’s first year in office.

This is probably a horrible time to bring up the fact that the Hawaiian health official who ‘authenticated’ Obama’s fake certificate was killed in a plane crash 2 weeks ago. Oops!

    Now the DNC is worried?!

Apparently, yes. In fact the Democratic National Committee emailed its supporters a paranoid bulletin this evening urging them to vote for more Democrats in order to keep Republicans from impeaching President Obama.

I wasn't sure which thread to bump for this. We just got our voter information guide for the upcoming primary election to be held on June 3. I'll go bump the California proposition thread later on -- the propositions in June aren't very interesting this time -- but you'll never guess who is running for California Attorney General.

Her candidate statement is exquisite. It starts off well, but the crazy builds up to a crescendo at the end.

I hope she gets enough money to run some ads. That would be awesome.

With the Top Two primary system, I may vote for her so she makes the runoff. Or maybe I'm just typing that because of the booze.

Ah, California, where common sense goes to die.

    Trapped at the KOA?

Obama must have breached the dams... tens of thousands huddled on top of their Winnabagoes, wondering why they forgot to bring boats...

I bet they would have had a bigger turn out if they had a community organizer in charge of it.
