Orly Taitz, who got her law degree from a correspondence-only school and is only licensed to practice in CA, filed the suit in Georgia. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like an instant FAIL.

Do you need to be a lawyer to file a lawsuit?

You have to be a lawyer to practice law. I presume the soldier could file this pro se. Not Taitz.

California counsel could get local Georgia counsel to file the suit and/or request to be admitted pro hac vice.

    To answer your question posed:

"The U.S. population's distribution by race and ethnicity in 2006 was as follows:
Total population: 299 million - White alone: 74% or 221.3 million."

He's counting Hispanics as whites, which is kind of funny if you read what's he's posting in the Sotomayer thread.

    Or just pathetic.

You know, at this point, it's probably in Obama's best interest to let the birthers keep going at it, and to give them just enough rope to hang themselves and their sympathizers. Keep giving them the low hanging, messy fruit.

    Court-martial? Repaying his salary?

Take this fellow out back, make him dig a shallow grave and shoot him.

This is a little strange because I believe the judge wanted this to get to the evidence phase just to fully show the birthers as the crazies they were. The Army kind of took the rug out from under him.

But I understand the Army's position too. Why waste the effort for a case. Clearly this guy is not the kind you want leading people into battle. They will use the Army way of dealing with this - sticking him in unpleasant positions where he can't do any harm.

So yeah, he volunteered for active duty specifically to file this suit. What a dick.

Anyway, I hope more birthers file suit.

wow, perhaps I can find another lawyer to help me sue her for wasting 15 minutes of my life reading a story about her. :)

Batshit everywhere is trying to prove it is not as crazy as this lady.

    Beware dentists ;)

Are there any hospital records of Obama's birth?
A bill from the hospital stay? IIRC, back then mother & child would remain in the hospital for several days even after a normal delivery.
Or would people just declare these to be forgeries also?

Anyone remember whether there was a decree sent out to all the world about this time, ordering that a census of all Kenyans be conducted, with each to report to his ancestral town? This would have required Joseph, I mean Barack, Sr., to travel with his great-with-child wife. He then might have had to find humble lodging, if there were no room at the inn.

Is this a serious question? Who keeps hospital bills for almost 50 years?

Besides, you make a good point - the whackjobs would just declare them forgeries.

Many people, including my own parents & my in-laws, have baby books containing odd souvenirs, such as the hospital & doctor bills from their children's births.
When my first child was born, my folks got to the hospital so fast that they, instead of me, are in the first photos!

Good point. I'm a packrat so I can see how if I had a kid, I might keep stuff like that. But his mom and his grandparents are dead so unless he has this stuff, it doesn't exist. Anyway, no one else who ran for president was required to produce invoices so it's not fair to even ask him.

If the State of Hawaii says his birth certificate is legitimate, that should be good enough for everyone and we shouldn't humor the idiots by giving them more information than they're entitled to.
