So the Albion's season has come down to two simple sentences.

    West Brom must beat Portsmouth.

Norwich City, Southampton and Crystal Palace must NOT win.

As the bottom club and currently at 9/2 odds, Albion are the bookies' long shot to stay up. Even Saints, who must play Man United, have better odds than us! (But perhaps I answered my pending question already... they're playing Man United. )

So our fate is not entirely in our hands, and yet it's all moot if Albion allow Pompey to earn any points at The Hawthorns Sunday afternoon.

If it is our fate to return to the lower leagues, so be it. But we must prove conclusively Sunday that Albion are worthy of being called a Premiership club, and that our stay in the Championship will only last a season. And the way we can do that is by going out with a bang. Pompey's players are certainly not going to roll over (even if their fans would love to see "the scum" in a lower division), but Albion must leave no doubt in the outcome. We must win, and win convincingly.

I think if Brom go down the will win the CCC easily next season. Good luck though.

Wish I was there Sunday. I think the Hawthorns will be Boinging off it's foundations and bouncing down the M5. A lot of Pompey fans say they'll be cheering for us and I've read mentions about some of them buying Baggies shirts especially for this game. With the cracking support Pompey have and our home support I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like.

Am I right in saying that this game isn't live on TV over here? If that's true, as they say up here in the North East, that would 'wicked suck'.

I think that WBA will stay up. Think about it. Norwich will have to win away, and so will palace. Southampton are at home, but Man United will beat them. Portsmouth aren't the best team in the world, and WBA will make them pay for that!

    Go West Brom!

I'm posting this at half-time for all four of the relegation battles, and right now, unless Palace and Norwich can pull back a few goals, it's between us and Southampton right now.

Albion has stood up to early pressure from Pompey, and seem to be creating a few chances... but no goal yet. If our players can just focus on our own match turn up the pressure and finally score, we would be in a great position... provided Saints don't find a winner in their match.

My fingernails are already bitten off...

    COME ON YOU BAGGIES!!!

Just amazing. I can“t believe it. Bravo to Bryan and the team. Now get Dean Ashton or another great goal scorer and score some more goals so that safety comes easier next season.

Great news... Manchester United Jr. stay up on the last day! :D Richardson & Robbo have proven themselves as a manager & players repctively, this year... and Paul Robinson (though he has no link with us) was fantastic for you lot, too). The one team I really wanted to stay up, and you did it!

Double thanks for United, coz our brilliant young lad also helped you on the way! You're welcome :D

Congrats! Fantastic, I really thought it was Norwich staying up (I knew Southampton were loosing their game  ). 6-0??? Amazing.

Yep, you should get Dean Ashton. And loan Chris Eagles from United!!! Kick-start his career like you did Richardson.
