After a seemingly interminable break for Euro 2008 qualifying matches, the Albion are back in action Saturday. For the moment, it appears that Albion chairman Jeremy Peace is prepared to tolerate Bryan Robson's various failures as manager - but for how long?

Can we recover from that miserable performance at Sunderland? Leicester have been quite poor lately, and are certainly beatable - if we can put on a solid performance. That's something which has been rare this season for Albion. :(

Zoltan Gera bagged two in Hungary's two matches... might he finally show some of the same form while playing in Albion stripes? Nigel Quashie suffered a dead leg in Scotand's match against Lithuania, but may still play Saturday against the Foxes. We are in need of a centre-back because Curtis Davies broke his metatarsal against Sunderland. Paul McShane will be starting in his stead, but we will likely try to find someone else for cover when the emergency transfer window opens.

Not a lot of quality on display today, but a bit of luck at the end gave us three needed points against hard-working Leicester.

With less than ten minutes left in the match, Foxes defender Darren Kenton headed a Nigel Quashie cross into his own net. A minute later, Albion won a penalty and Kevin Phillips finished for our second.

It's still a bit troubling that we left it so late, however. On paper, we are just a bit better than Leicester, and we had more possession and chances. It seemed, however, that we just couldn't score - which has been our problem since before Robson became manager.

I'm happy for the win, and there are definitely signs of improvement. Albion still can play better, however. That was hardly the best performance we could have seen today.

First half was very poor - looked devoid of ideas, simply lumpin it forward to Hartson. 2nd half wasn't much better really but we got a lucky break and Leicester were never gonna get back into it as they had shown nothing all game.

The result masks the performance and means Robson will live to fight another day. He should remember that midway through 2nd half the fans turned and started booing. Greening should have been hauled off in the first half he was that bad but Robson backs for some reason which is strange because Greening has done nothing for nearly 2 years.

It's simple, really: Robson's favouritism toward his ex-Man United players is why he keeps playing them. Wallwork's shown far better form in recent years than when he first joined the club. Greening, on the other hand, often seems like he's got no idea what he's doing.
