Can't wait for the game at Wembley!! May just have to fly across the pond to see the game! And also can't wait until FA Cup vs the fishies on Saturday! Don't get me wrong I am loving the whole Portsmouth drama that continues to unfold but I do hope they find a manager, we've gotta have someone to jeer close to us :)

cheers wingman! very excited to be at Wembly (even if it is just the League 1 Cup) :D we're looking at over 40,000 Saints fans alone if we aren't given more tickets which is what we've been told

I saw in your first post that you said you might be flying over to england to watch the final. That would be pretty cool. Also, how did you start supporting the saints, did you use to live in England?

ya hopefully I'll be able to, thats still up in the air though. My dad is born and raised in Southampton and moved out here to the US when he was 18 so I've been a Saints fan my whole life

so what do you think about our playoff hopes, I don't think were goin to get to the playoffs this year, but if it wasnt for the 10 point deduction i think we would of had a great shot at them.

Also, I'll probably start doing matchday threads cause it looks like prk166 stop doing them and it seems like the southampton board doesn't get a lot of activity.

Also, I think the saints did good in the january transfer window. I think jason puncheon could be good for us.

yeah i still have hope for the playoffs but it's not like we absolutely MUST make them this year, I think Pardew has done a fantastic job with what we started with, all I really cared about for this season was getting back on our feet and we've certainly done that. The January window was great for us, I think I heard we were one of the top 20 teams who spent or something. And the game day thing would be great! Hopefully this board can start coming back to life here soon

ya i think pardew is a great coach. Pardew and the owner have done a great job of getting the team stable. I think next year the saints will have a really good chance of getting promoted.

Aparently if Pompey are considered insolvent on their March 1st court date, either Birmingham will get a bye in the FA Cup or Saints will take the place of Portsmouth. Not sure how I feel about it, it means more games which we may not need because I think we should focus on the League more, but I definately wouldn't be heart-broken being in the quarterfinals :D
