He's more physical and not as great at controlling the game with his runs and passing range, but Holtby still could develop into someone like Modric, he is very smart and versatile in the center of the pitch with a very diverse skillset.

If he can provide some of the vision and passing that Modric gave us, he will do well. With Sandro out for the season there's a starting spot available.

From what I've seen of Holtby I believe he will probably slot in the middle with Parker and Dembele will be pushed further up behind a loan striker IF we decide to start him and Holtby at the same time.

we could possibly see this against Norwich:

    -------Dempsey------
    Bale--Dembele-Lennon
    -----Parker-Holtby-----
    BAE--Vert--Dawson-Walker
    ----------Lloris-------------

In spite of the lack of a classic striker, there is quite a bit of quality in that team. Personally, I love it, though I suppose having an out and out striker in Dempsey's slot would be preferable. That is a damn good team though...

well this is my realistic team if Defoe's injury keeps him from starting for a bit. Obviously i'd rather have him or Damiao up front
