    Scallywags at the southwest corner of Yonge and St. Clair is showing that game and is also the home of the Liverpool supporters group in Toronto. A quick check of their International Sports Broadcast Schedule has them showing the Liverpool v Sunderland game at 7:30. http://www.scallywags.net/schedule.php

    Yonge St is dead centre of Toronto and you can take the subway to St. Clair station on the Yonge line from where you're staying.

    Here's a listing of the bars in Ontario showing UFC 74.

    Looks like the Shoeless Joe's that the Red Patch Boys pre and post party is showing the fights. I'd call to be sure though.

    ^ we try to do a tailgate before games on the weekend,
    and we go to the pub before games on weekday nights.

    There's a big 'fair / expo' thing that goes on around BMO field
    for the last two week of summer, and due to that we have our
    tailgate a few blocks away for the time being. If you're interested
    in the details, send me a PM and I can fill you in.

    and don't worry... we're friendly. There's always jokers and jabs,
    but we're all about having beers and singing songs, not being assholes.

    You do a tailgate? I had heard that tailgating was not a big Toronto thing, in part cos your stadium is downtown so most fans come via public transport, and also cos many of your fans either grew up in Britain or Europe and so dont have a tailgating tradition and instead go to the pub before the game, or if they are Canadian they grew up watching EPL and so again they dont have a tailgating tradition? Is that incorrect?

    We don't have a tailgate tradition here in Toronto,
    but then again, we're making new traditions with this team.
    A lot of people want to meet near the stadium, and grill up
    some food, share some 'colas' and just pal around. We could
    do this in a bar, but on a sunny weekend afternoon, it's nicer
    to be outside with friends. We (the Red Patch) generally do
    our "picnic" (that's what we call it, because we dont want to
    imply that people are drinking) before weekend games, and
    we do the pub before weeknight games, then march down.

    This is a new team in a new city in a new-ish league,
    and the old traditions of Europe don't really apply.
    We're going to do things to have as much fun as possible.

    It's a very worthwhile thread and our chat on the weekend spurred me on to taking a good broom to it.

    Besides, it's a fair trade. You gave me an RPB sticker and I cleaned up your thread!

    "A" to "F" is about 1.6 miles (2.5 kilometres) {straight distance}

    "I" to "F" is about 1.4 miles (2.3 kilometres) {straight distance}

    You could walk from 'A' to 'B' in about a half hour.

    If you look where Queen and the railway tracks meet in the bottom left, that is approximately where the Boxcar is.

    I don't believe it's officially confirmed yet, but I believe the traveling Revolution supporters (Midnight Riders, Rev Army, etc.) coming up for the October 20th match have sold out their allotment of tickets, which was 70 if I'm not mistaken. I won't be surprised if others travel up just for the weekend as well, perhaps looking for tickets on match day.

    Quick question, which admittedly, might already have been addressed earlier in the thread, but what's the weather like in Toronto in mid-October? My guess is that it could be anything from warm and pleasant, to the odd snow snow shower.

    Any advice would be welcome!

    By mid-October, the evenings will be cool. Overnights lows get down to 50 degrees F. During the day, it will be anywhere from 55 to 70. Famous last words, but we never have snow that early. Most years, we don't get snow until Christmas.
