Two good articles concering Bayern tactics and Guardiola(one in English the other in German). I don't necessarily agree with them but here they are: http://www.bavarianfootballworks.co...cs-barcelona-bayern-munich-possession-passing http://spielverlagerung.de/2013/01/17/zukunftsausblick-die-bayern-unter-josep-guardiola/
I don't care about Guardiola. That was not what my post was about. I was only talking about the consequences to the league and I fail to see what benefits the rest of the Bundesliga has because of him chosing Bayern? Exposure? Lol. Bayern is similar to Barca and Real in that respect, doesn't help the rest of the league at all. Or should I be grateful that now my beloved 96 is playing in the same league that the great Pep is coaching in? There is only one thing that would make the Bundesliga more interesting to the "soccer world" and that is Bayern not being dominant. I think the last two years were just an exception, it may be another 30 years before Bayern don't win two championsships in a row.
I would like to know that too, i was watching the sports news on two tv stations and they reported that he will be the highest paid coach ever.
Former Barcelona player Luis Enrique is one of candidates to become Guardiola's assistant. Juanma Lillo and Roberto Baggio also named. wow Roberto Baggio my favourite italian player i remember growing up watching him i was actually for italy in the pk shooutout against brazil in 1994 and so sad that Baggio missed. My favourite non german player of all time Btw Luis Enrique? Wasn't he the coach of Roma so now he is going back to beeing assistant
Well, we didn't need Pep to beat RM in the past but we may need his skill to beat the Barca juggernaut.
The article proposes that Guardiola could see Ribery as the counterpart of Iniesta at Barcelona. It certainly would be interesting, I always thougth Ribery's creativity was a bit wasted on the wing. He also says that Kroos could probably lack the dynamic to(despite having the creativity and passing ability) play the Iniesta role, thus he could see him competing with Schweinsteiger for a spot(a bit like Fabregas)
8-10M sounds realistic, about the same figure our top earners make and Uli said Pep could have earned double that elsewhere. In addition to that, there are rumors that he struck a separate sponsorhip deal with Adidas.
Imagine what a player he could have become had he not been marginalized like that. Really hope Guardiola frees him up a bit.
Besides. It's time some people accept that if you want quality, you have to pay for it. Was the case with Martinez and this is no different. Not like Bayern don't have the money.
you have to see the whole interview in order to understand it. The journalist tries to nail Hoeness there, but Hoeness reiterates his point in saying "that if they asked/pushed him enough (Jupp) that he would have considered continuing" so not that Jupp wanted and they didnt let him
I was one of the doubters... But when I heard the news... Well, someone post that southpark pic of stans dad
Those are some silly looking kits, i wouldn't wear that even when i go fishing down the lake, it would scare the fishes.
Never really tought about that ... would be awesome indeed ... Scholl ?? Ah ok ... Acceptable then ... My bad ...
I teach at a university with a huge International population. The vast majority of those students who follow the sport are Barça supporters (with some Real and ManU/Liverpool supporters thrown in and the EPL supporters are all from India). I guarantee that every one of those Barça fans will want to watch Bayern play more than just the occasional CL match now that Saint Pep is in charge. That puts more eyeballs on the rest of the league and will expose these fans to the BL's style of football which is, I believe, vastly superior to the style of play in the EPL. If they watch Bayern games they will become more familiar with the other teams, see the quality of the play and stop thinking of the league as Bayern and the rest. And if eyeballs = € for the league from viewing rights, then the other teams will get more money. Given the league structure, that money will be far more evenly distributed than in any of the other top leagues. Those €s will make a lot more difference for the rest of the league than they will for Bayern.
