press conference today with some info from Rummenigge: - there will be no presentation of Guardiola at least not in the near future, because Pep doesn't like big shows and he doesn't want to interfere with the current season and Jupp's job - Pep will stay in New York for the time being, but he is already informed about the club in detail - he is already learning German since weeks and can speak a little, he asked Kalle yesterday in a phone call "Wie geht es Jupp?" (How is Jupp doing?) - Pep will bring in two assistants but wants to work with the current personal mostly - Kalle reiterates if it were only about money, Bayern would have had no chance at all
I've imagined that. Wouldn't make any sense to do a Big fashioned presentation right now. It would only distract the team. I would like for him to move to München in a couple of months... That way he can work full time on his German and come July he would already be fluent (and maybe even start taking a look on the Youth Teams).
AS linked Bayern with Neymar. Watch Bayern now being linked with every fcking player walking the seven kingdoms.
Great for Bayern, but everything that helps Bayern to stay dominant is essentially bad for the Bundesliga so I don't understand how people can say this is great for the Bundesliga??
In terms of attention for the Bundesliga this is an earthquake with huge magnitude. For a league on the up you don't think this can be beneficial?
It will make other good coaches and players stay in Germany rather moving to England and Spain, because they will have the motivation to prove against one of the most successful coaches in recent history, father of the greatest team in recent history, who will coach the best Bayern team in recent history. Since everyone hates Bayern they will stay to beat them, not that they will succeed but they will try.
The more attention the BL gets the more respect it will fully deserve. Not to mention international interest, broadcasting, marketing... For example; in the USA... Only goltv is broadcasting the BL. We all know goltv won't last too long. Now with more exposure from Bayern and indirectly the BL. Maybe the broadcast companies will think twice about giving the BL a chance... Any attention a German team gets is good for the league. Look at the circle jerk Dortmund got around the world for their CL performance this season. They deserved it. They could've actually had a perfect record in the group of death for crying out loud This is attention that we need. If you look across the boards, the majority of them still think the BL is in the Stone Age. They have no exposure to it and are ignorant to the realities of the time. 1: German football is sky rocketing (NT golden age, German clubs Europe) 2: German youth academies and talents are sprouting stars like hot cakes 3: the league is becoming a lot more competitive, (all 7 teams are in Europe ko stage) 4: the most financially stable league in Europe (probably the world in relevancy) 5: the best attendance avg out of all the big leagues (no empty stadiums) The dfL need to do a better job exposing this league to every corner of the globe.
He is busy driving Uli everywhere, he posts from his smartphone when Uli is getting lunch. never gets old
You would think pep would like more exposure to the team ASAP. Of course not step on anyone toes right now, but at least watch the home games soon? I am sure he will have VIP status seats any time he wants. Throughout the club as well.
This is an old photo... Back when we hosted them in some meaningless tournament at the AA I believe... Or we offered our training facilities to them prior to some match they had. Can't remember the specifics, but remember them being there.

It's just that imo "Great for Bayern" almost always means "Bad for the rest of the Bundesliga". I mean, you can already see dwindling interest in the Bundesliga now that Bayern is leading by a zillions points.
If he had chosen to coach Hamburg or Schalke, sure.
I'm not sure but I believe to know where you come from. We here in Germany already acknowledged the development of Bayern München from "losing the AC Milan every year in the first elimination round" to " a serious contender of the Uefa Champions League on par with the very best". Therefore it is of little surprise that Bayern München would have a shot at Guardiola. It seems like a logical evolution from our point of view. However in the rest of the football world. Especially outside of Europe, we are still perceived as a 1B brand in international football on the level of Arsenal London, PSG or AC Milan. This is even more true for the Bundesliga as a brand compared to La Liga or the EPL and we see the dire result in the little change we get for the Bundesliga international broadcasting rights. With the signing of Pep Guardiola we will not only have the chance to upgrade the prestige of Bayern München as a 1A club / brand around the world but also the entire Bundesliga will be seen under a new light. Surely we don't know to how much the benefit of Guardiolas signing will amount to in the end. That depends on his success after all but the potential is enormous because the eye of the football media world will closely observe Guardiolas very action and with international media attention there'll be revenue for all the other Bundesliga clubs, too.
As an Arsenal supporter, I say "Congrats Bayern". He is one of the few managers in the world that could possibly take over for Arsene Wenger one day.
That would be pretty funny. Looking at the boards, apparently Boateng, Robben and Gomez are on their way out, don't fit Pep's style. :S
