I dont know why you would think Pep will have problems with Boateng. Maybe he is not the most technically gifted but Puyol isnt either.
What are Kirchhoff's chances with Pep ? He can play the ball out of the back pretty well kinda like Pique for Barca.

Finally ... I've LoL'd a lot to all people automatically assuming that Mario Gomez will fail miserably under Pep and will be sold or rot in the bench ...

Is Pep Guardiola that will run Bayern, not Kim Kardashian FFS !!

PS: I can really see Robben regaining his 2010 form under Pep ...

You did not just compare Puyol and Boateng, did you? Puyol is a world class ahead of Boateng as a gifted defender - and yeah, he has technique..

Maybe he's talking about flair?? Not sure.

Puyol is one tough SOB though. A true captain.

What I would give for Bayern to have even half the player Puyol is. They don't make them like that anymore.

I was comparing their ability with the ball at their feet not their defensive ability.

That's right. I dont understand why Pep wouldnt like Boateng. He is a top defender , improving all the time. If Mascherano plays as a CB regularly with Pep, then Boateng will be alright.

I dont know how highly people rated Puyol when he was 23. He won his first trophy at the age of 26. Maybe they had doubts he could win a trophy you know. Now at 34, he is a legend of course. Great things take time.

He was pretty highly rated and performed well early as well. That's why he's such a legend. He's Mr. Consistent. He played multiple positions and Ferguson wanted to buy him.

Dudes, seriously, there are a bunch of Man Ure fans saying that this is Pep's probationary period for when he'll take over after SAF's retirement...

The 2nd best thing after signing Pep will be re-signing him and whatch them brainfart ... :D

Pep's a good coach but great? He's only had a few seasons at Barca. They severely underperformed last season but do did FCB, to a certain extent. Maybe he can figure out how to beat BvB AND Chel$ki!

I would've preferred the Special One because he's had much success outside his native country but we'll see. It's certainly better than Magath....or Klopp!

What an interesting combination. I am certainly looking forward to seeing how things at Bayern will be changed and shifted. I must say, I've always been a far greater admirer of Bayern, than Pep, though.

according to SSNHD if i understood right Bayern will present another major sponsor.
What do you guys think now bringing Pep will have even a better impact on Bayern internationally, sure Bayern is number 1 club in the world in sponsors income but most of the companies are german(t-home,adidas,audi,allianz) now with Pep i think more and more international companies will want to sponsor bayern
