Yeah but it would be logical to say that we predict the success of the given Manager based on his past achievements. What Bazi is trying to say here, I think, is that Guardiola's achivements are bigger than Klismanns thus predicting a similar fate to Klinsmann for Guardiola is not really rational
Every coach has the chance to fail. The chance of Guardiola failing is indeed higher than for example with a coach like Mourinho. I'm on common ground with you. Dropping Klinsmann however in one sentence with Guardiola is nothing more than trolling...but then again you like those pointed remarks.
I rather trust Honigstein than some random Spanish source though Rafa only assumed that sum. I really can't believe the annual 17m € are true.
Try this: NEUER LAHM-BOA-BADS(DANTE)-ALABA MARTINEZ-KROOS-SCHWEINI ROBBEN-MÜLLER-RIBERY(SHAQ) Of course if we dont get........Messi
Messi looses the ball more than anyone in La Liga btw, so I think Robben will be ok. If anyone, Gomez will struggle and could have issues but the difference is that he is hardworker and willing to change if needed, so it's interesting what happens between the two when Pep comes.
Kloppo will only go to Chelsea if he's looking for a job that'll last 4 months... ...and pay him 20 million for it. Wait, what?
Similarities between Bayern and Barca Average stats per game: Bayern - Barca Possesion: 63%-69% Pass completion: 87,6%-89,9% Shots: 18-14 Successful dribbles: 13-12 After Barca with 52 we are the team with the most goals from open play in Europe with 35
You could have easily made that claim about any number of non-German coaches. While all are true, they have a second side to them. Of all the clubs outside of Barca, Bayern have what would appear to be the most similar set up that would allow for his success. NO success is guaranteed, and certainly he brings with him massive expectations. It is a recipe for failure at Bayern, we all know that. Yet despite all that, Pep is willing to take on the challenge. I love how so many are so quick to assume that Bayern will in fact become Barca 2. Or that Pep just wanted to move someone other than wherever Mourinho would land (EPL). Perhaps he is here to start something new. Perhaps Bayern is in fact willing to spend on players necessary. Perhaps what Guardiola needs for talent already exists within the Bundesliga, where arguably some of the best young unrecognized talent exists. I don't disagree with your statements, and I understand the skepticism and doubt. At least Bayern seem finally beyond the raping of Bundesliga teams of their best players and coaches just to weaken their opponents. In the end, the league will be better with Pep in it. Hopefully his presence will entice more talent and coaches to the league. I truly feel he saw the potential the league had and this helped his decision. The Bundesliga is on the cusp of greatness once yet again. Like days of old.
Maybe Pep wanted to come into the pressure cooker of Bayern to actually prove that he could coach and that the massive stockpile of talent at Barca wasn't the sole cause of his success there.... Or.....he could suck and flop....we'll see!
Why do they hate pep so much on "that other" forum? They think he's overrated and defend Mou against him.. I don't understand... Aren't they all asking for Mou's head this season?? Really confusing
I love the lineups without Gomez... and the assumption that Robben is now automatically a 2nd string player. Come back down to earth guys and lets be a little bit more realistic. If this guy can't get Robben to buy into his system (certainly Robben doesn't lack technical the skill) or that he can't use one of the greatest goal scorers around in Gomez and to make that minor adjustments the team needs to be successful then I'd be shocked. I not expecting these guys to remain as starters or any of our current starting XI because sh!t happens but to expect wholesale changes in just 1 year is going a bit too far. Our squad isn't that bad and honestly this team needs more of a Psychologist than a Tactician.
Players that might have problems with Pep Gomez, Boateng, Gustavo, Robben Meanwhile his predescesor at BarcaRijkaard has been sacked as coach of Saudi Arabia
