Congrats from an Uruguayan Spurs fan! He will not dissapoint you. I will now watch all your games and root for you unless you play Tottenham. In that case, I will root for a 1000-999 Spurs win with Luisito scoring 999 goals:D

Yeah I like Suarez on Pool's roster. Great talent. But Liverpool agreed to the upsell and so Ajax made out pretty damn well on this one initially.

Ajax made a great profit on a guy they bought for what, 5M Euros or so? Good for them. But Suarez's valuation after the World Cup was around 30M pounds, so it's not like we overpaid for him.

Mutually beneficial deal where both parties are happy.

I think it was even 7.5 or 8M Euros - so yeah they more than doubled their money - but every top level player gets that for a club.

I mean we sold Xabi for 30M Euros after buying him for 14M? (yeah we weren't happy - but it was a good deal....too bad it disappeared to pay the debt).

I hope that Suarez is up to it! We need him to take off like a rocket.

Can we just give him the no. 9 now?

I like this signing but I don't really like it if we are going to lose Torres.

    I just don't know.

I have been able to watch most of the matches on television, but been too busy to follow and reach much stuff on team affairs.

I'm pretty sure they made it clear that Suarez was definitely not a replacement for Torres and they bought him because they believed he would compliment the attack.

The better is question is whether or not he gets the #7. That is a lot of pressure when Kenny Daglish is managing the club.

Re: Welcome Luis "Wild Fang-handgo" Suarez!

Ooh I'm not sure about that or at least I don't remember reading anything with that number. You know the evaluation is just a figure that a GM invents to make money. A player is only really only worth what someone else is willing to pay for.

Finding out market value is pretty difficult compared to hard commodities and corporate shares. But if we're going on goals, youth, potential, and skill, Suarez is a brilliant player with the only knock against coming from the Eredivisie.

Ajax still made out well but at least Liverpool didn't spend Balotelli money, that would have been dumb.
