and now Syracuse as well... News: 03/29/12 The Empire United WPSL preliminary player pool has been establsihed. The current pool consists of players from the following collegiate programs: Colgate, Kent State, St. Bonaventure, Lemoyne, Penn State, Niagara, Syracuse, Siena, Mercer and Clarkson as well as players that are on ODP Regional and National Teams. We currently have 22 players registered and are anticipating this player pool settling between 26-28 individuals. The participation fee will be $490. This will include all player expenses - travel and lodging (when needed) for 4 away games (not Binghamton game), coaching fees, field rental costs, referee fees, league registration and player registration. We are actively pursuing sponsorships to assist with these costs. Collegiate programs have utilized this league to improve their player's development and sustain their fitness over the summer months. Highly competitive youth clubs have also used our league to expose their players to teams that carry players from every level - national, collegiate, post-collegiate and youth - and they then carry the experience they've gained, individually and as a team, into their local league competition in the fall and spring. Registration for the 2012 Season Empire United Syracuse - WPSL Team Eligibility: Post-graduate, collegiate and elite high school senior women players are eligible to try out. The focus will be on players who live or attend college in the greater Syracuse area. No more than five players from the same college team can participate.
